In addition to my being in awe of Robert (as well as all the supremely talented members of the mighty Zep), he seems to be so genuine, honest and just a very nice fellow. . .how cool can he be!? Thank you for the great memories Robert.
i almost walked into Robert at the airport in vancouver in summer '69. i was 13,he was 19. i just abt bumped( he was no more than 2ft from me&i,him) into the guy,i swear it but at last second,i managed to compose myself, looked right into his eye's. i nodded to him and he did same to me. it was as thought he respected me as someone closer to where rocknroll came from (north america).
i hope one day i'll remind him that he wasn't afraid of me. and by the way,i love you Robert
I live about forty minutes from the Canadian border in upstate NY and Strombo's website on the CBC wont let me see this interview bc I don't live IN Canada. Those crafty Canadians...foiled them again...with a big assist on your part.
"Steady, you haven't heard the ballad version of that yet" Oh Robert, never change
