You guys did a great job and should be very proud, I was involved in another form of racing and understand deadlines and pressure, kudos to all, and congrats to Chris of K&W, a personal friend.
Its so amazing how people get so attached to their own projects. This video is so amazing. I feel the same way about my car. A project car becomes a part of your life.
Obviously the guy wasn't crying over the car itself. If 1) I had poured my heart in soul into giving birth to a piece of art (well, I consider any custom car to be an artistic expression) that had 2) mentally and physical drained me and which 3) literally could make or break things for me and the people who worked on it with me, I'd cry too. Crying isn't a sign of weakness; it's the body's basic method of stress-release. And I give him and GTChannel twice as much respect for not editing it out.
kudos to those gents. It's too often nowadays to find shops only in it to make a quick buck. Not that many tuners have heart and soul and pour it into their rides / their customers' rides.
Real men cry when it "hurts". When you want something to happen so bad and it just isn't. That "hurts". I've been there and I'm not just saying that.
Carstuff:
Engines are getting too complicated when you can't just put it in and have it start reliably. I can't wait to see the car running. BTW, that's RMR made easy. DMC-12 gives fist-bump over the "paint job". Bare metal.
Now that is true passion for cars right there! Trying against all the odds to create something that you have put part of yourself in to and trying to bring out the potential of a car that seems impossible.
WOW! To me, this car is more valuable than any car out there. The value of this car is priceless because of the time and passion that they put onto this car.
@nicowjensen The engine is between the rear wheels, so its rear mounted. The engine would have to be mounted between the front and rear axles to be mid mounted (mid engine).
@veyronman If its between the rear wheels, its rear mounted. If its between the front wheels, its front mounted. If its between the front and rear, its mid mounted.
A SCION? the deadline was not met & the car was not finished. However! Effort Blood Sweat & Tears (Literally), along with passion goes a long way in any ambitous Challange, Conratulations on getting the car to SEMA. A HUGE Challenge in its own right.
@hernandadmx No, it's not being a pussy, your comment is actually pretty lame and not funny. It's having such a passion for this project with a DEAD LINE. It takes a lot of effort doing a build like this. Maybe one day when you build your own car like they did from starting with a shell, with hard labor and lots of custom work, you will understand that it gets emotional sometimes, not saying your going to cry but it does get emotional, next time you comment, think before you do, thanks.
Why were they PMSing to the point of crying in the first part of the vid? All joking aside,I can understand how can a project can sometimes be overwhelming and gets the best of anybody.

@cornholio114 Would't the engine have to be behind the rear axle for it to be an RR?
