  • Your hot Jesse

  • OH MY GOSH, JESSE, YOU'RE SO HANDSOME.

  • Why Jonas Brothers? LOLs

  • wow, this is sad and bad...

  • my friends name is yeye :)

  • i didnt hear the change of the word yeah

  • ur cute

  • This dude gets major pu**y, huh?

  • i was not already totally sure what was voice compression, but when u talked about the jonas brother, Everything came clear to me. congrat, its what i needed.

  • star trek

  • Summary: You use compression to get vocal stability so that you can hit the notes without putting pressure onto your larynx. But too much compression produces unwanted noises, what he was explaining were techniques to use minimal compression to produce different tones.

  • where did your emo hair got? fuck not more style do!!!!

  • " wow dats to much" hehe

  • 1:50 LOL

  • didn't understand what he meant at all.

  • Johanas Brothers sing horrible!!!

  • Moreorless, I listened to a video before this one but I do not see it anywhere, I was beating a cake, Would like to watch later, then repeat this one, I suppose, I'd have to pay more attention to understand thanks

  • just enough : )

  • I liked what you said about enough...

But and what about soul music? This need so much passion...

Soul singers use more compression or is other techinique?

  • @nataliakass Ballad needs more compression

  • he made fun of the jonas brothers xD

    he was right, too:P

  • very helpful! This video helped me identify one issue in particular I need to work on. I noticed my voice has been been breathy and strained at different times and I think this will help me even it out!

  • hahahahaha<3

  • this videos, combined with the course and maybe going to a regular teacher will make you a good singer

  • yeah yeah yeah!!!!!

  • Can u please teach us the ways to hit notes the way lea Michele does in the song faithfully? Please that would alsome!!!

  • Does anyone else feels compression is kind of a "wavy" sound? You can actually "feel" the variations, not like a "plain" note.

  • You kinda look like Timon

  • lol Jonas Brothers

  • As always...superusefull tip!! Thank ya man!! You're really great!!

  • what is too little compression??

  • You don't want to sing like a Jonas brother!

  • Jesse is my fav.

  • "just enough"

    LOVE YOU!

  • WOW! This is the best and clearest explanation of this concept I've heard in a long time.

  • This was useful.

  • I like the video it does make sense

  • Thanks...!!!!

  • they no can cut it

  • @stul9045 What? you're not making any sense...

  • hahaha 2:35 was too funny!!

  • thumbs me up if u hate the jonas brothers =D

  • @chinesemonkeystyle I'm sick of homos like you doing that "thumbs up" crap in all the videos...

  • @miyuris

    I mean

    be more bitter

    clearly

it's JUST gay people making that comment

    what are you, 5?

  • @bummedoutforlife I don't get your point...

  • @miyuris

... you said "I'm sick of homos like you"

    1) make a more useful comment

    2) way to be homophobic

  • @bummedoutforlife my comment might be useful, because maybe that homo won't make stupid comments like that again... and i'm not homofobic...

  • @miyuris

    using the word "homo"

or using gay or homosexuality in a negative way is homophobic.

even if you didn't necessarily mean it that way.

  • @bummedoutforlife how do you know i used the word "homo" for homosexual? the only word "homo" doesn't mean homosexual, but you take for granted that i used it that way... so maybe you are the homofobic here...

  • @miyuris

    so... what did you mean

  • @miyuris i cudnt agree more, fucking fags (not homophibic)

  • Question... In my regular chest voice I can hit up to middle C. Using some form of compression, I seem to be able to get to the C above that, without breaking into falsetto/head voice. I can pass smoothly from chest into head voice below the middle C and work my way up higher, but I can't seem to transfer from this above-chest compressed voice into head voice.

The compressed voice doesn't hurt though, or even feel strained really, but it really resonates. I was wondering what exactly I'm doing?

  • Excellent video! I needed this. :)

  • HAHA! AAaaah burn to the jonas brothers xD

  • Awesome video.

    I watched it naked!

  • @fyourcouchnigga so u watched this video when u were naked:)

  • @fyourcouchnigga WTF...xD

  • @fyourcouchnigga you lil perv you!

  • thnks!

  • Nice tip!

I've actually been singing some Jonas Brothers with some friends, and it really hurts!

  • @Hmmhattricker Also Nickelback uses that. That's how they get that grunge sound.

  • @xmaddict Well, Chad Kroeger's voice is naturally like that, haha. You can hear it when he talks. I'd kill for that voice.

  • Awesome tip. thx!

  • Really great tip especially not changing the vowel when you go higer. gotta keep that in mind

  • hehe u did a good thing mentioning the jonas brothers they like overcompress or something, it's soo annoying

  • getting singing succes soon
