He had a degenerative bone disease and had to have several hip replacement surgeries over the years, but he still kept performing the music he and we loved! He will be missed....
Rob passed away today, 11July 2011, after a three story fall that landed him on his head about two weeks earlier (see his wife's Google Post) In this video he did walk like one who is suffering (in what I would guess from personal experience) from horrific back pain.
He was nearly fatally electrocuted after stepping into a puddle of water on stage while holding his electric guitar in, I believe the late 60's. He was blessed and was saved from a very close brush with death then.

He still tours regularly but if you see the way he walks he looks like he's in pretty bad shape... Better see him soon...
