@cody181818 if its a run away engine you have to shut off by killin the air to it. i dont have audio so i dont know what the problem was but im sure it took more than turning the key off. run away engines are scary as fuck especially on big diesels where you got to get up close to kill the air flow. i got old diesel in a boat and sometimes it runs away. got plastic bags to put over air intakes...works but till it shuts off you just kinda wait to see if it go boom in your face.
