in all seriousness, there are a few really good things there, it just needs a real team and real money, real frame and probably dragon skin!

integrate a laptop or something smaller, (netbooks get 6+ hours battery...) GPS, Range finder, designatior, comms, Helmet mounted displays, e.t.c. all of this is current level tech.

I love this concept and ever since I saw Star Wars I wondered why any military didnt use the idea of a full body armor. I think he needs to keep working on this, however. It looks a bit ridiculous, it reminds me of Robocop. More simplistic looking armor like a storm/scout trooper or spartan (Halo) would be nicer, I think. In the mean time, theres no reason why troops arent being covered in the thighs and arms with a modified version of the armor we already have, with fans and cooling.

This is a good try but I'm just not sure. Would this suit hold its own against Taliban with AKs or Afgahn troops with M-60s? How about a 9mm pistol? It may look like an ODST or a Republic Commando which makes it look all cool with a bunch of neat gadgets but how much fire can it take. This is impressive, and a step in the right direction but before I can really say "WOW!" I'm gonna need footage of this on a manequin in a firing range taking fire. I wanna know if it'll save lives.

The technology just doesn't exist yet, and even if it did, the cost would probably far outweight the benefit of having it. In the end, you'd be able to save more soldiers and Marines lives with better conventional armor, weapons, equipment, etc...

Not a bad idea but it's just not practical. It's far too big, too heavy, and too cumbersome. The suit alone is probably too heavy for high intensity combat to say nothing about ammo and gear. In places like Iraq, we've had more people dropping from heat than enemy action. A little fan just won't cut it. It may be blowing air, but that air is120 degrees in Iraq. The first combat suit will have to be pressurized and power assisted, with a full artificial environment.
