  • I watched a bunch of these "garage door problems" videos. They explained a lot, but not my problem. The garage door (no opener) with torsion spring, would not stay open once lifted. The door would roll at least half way back down. The fix was simple and free! I tightened the torsion spring about 3/4 of a turn. I also lubed it up to hopefully extend the life of the parts. If you attempt this fix, be safe, don't stand right in front of the spring, wear gloves and safety glasses!

  • Wow! Everyone watching this video is now dumber for what you have shown.

WD40 is not for lubrication. Use OIL. Preferably an oil with nothing in it. Additives don't help. Silicone spray is for people want to pay extra for something that has no benefit. Same for teflon. Rust won't break a spring...unless you decide to wipe rust off constantly and eventurally you will wipe it thin enough to break it.

  • @cegoth shut up

  • Rust ha nothing to do with a torsion springs longevity it is the springs cycle life .wd 40 will help it operate smoothly and quietly.

  • Thx Dude.
