  • I stand corrected. I was thinking of "Guitar Pan". I bow to your knowledge... ;-)

  • The year was 1997, I was fortunate enough to be there...!!!

  • @UKHardDrive Sorry, friend, you're off by a decade.

"Pan in A Minor" was a hit by Lord Kitchener in 1987.and was almost the "test piece" for Panorama that year.

  • When the essence of joy meets such virtuosic brilliance, discipline, imagination, insane rhythmic ability and jaw-dropping arranging, this is the result. A piece of ensemble playing to rival anything I've ever heard - just brilliant!

  • The best steelband in the world and one of the only few COMMUNITY bands in Trinidad & Tobago that is helping presevre the culture

  • @Interested....Phase II won that year with "This feeling nice" Renegades came 2nd..

All stars came 4th with Curry Tabanca. That year I think 7 of the final 11 bands played Pan in A Minor. Arguably one of the greatest Pan tunes composed.

  • @crixandbutter And Desperadoes tied for 2nd. And yes arguably one of the greatest Pan Tunes ever composed. It was like a test piece.

  • THIS IS MOSTLY BEVERLY, A LITTLE ROBBIE AND BRADLEY!!! I KNOW 4 sure!! BEEN PLAYIN IN D BAND SINCE 1990!! AND MY POPS IS AN ORIGINAL PLAYER FROM THE BAND!!!

  • @malloryrtrns i disagree greatly, this arrangement compliments the brilliant jit version

  • I think this arrangement was done by Robert Greenidge and Beverly Griffith if I'm not mistaken that's what is recorded in the history books I learned to play under Robbie and certain aspects of this arrangement sound alot like his style. However you mostly hear the Renegades version and boy or boy it good to now see why the both bands tied for 2nd beautiful music from a legendary Steel Orchestra Big up Dersperadoes.

  • Pantrinbago as usual fix your history my bad I now see it for myself on the banner Clive Bradley and B. Griffith the arrangers of this classic must say this is where sweet hand Robbie developed his style from the best.

  • One of tightest arrangements and executions i ever heard.

panorama is definitely not where it shud be by now!!

  • The lick starting at 7:44 HAS to be Robbie. Just sounds too much like him to not be.

  • You right the banner says Robbie and Beverly

  • Best Despers arrangement ever! Perfectly compliments the classic by Jit Samaroo and Renegades. Listen to that crowd chanting before the count!!! Panorama is not like this anymore

  • Blame Patrick Arnoild and his cohorts for watering down the tradition......

  • The crowd was actually chanting "Phase 2 Phase 2' though..I was in the north stand that night. The chant only stopped after Curry Tabanca flattened the place..but that is another story of panorama folklore...

  • @psychologistpannist Who won Panorama that year and is the performance on Youtube? Because Curry Tabanca is a masterpiece.
