Way back about 2 months ago I stumbled into a commentary here and made some simple points that got carried way to far in the extreme by several people.I was and am pointing out that Floor and the others ARE REAL PEOPLE.They have thoughts and feelings.They also have failures as we all do.Its great to like them and support them as we should be doing.Its not nice to make up BAND WARS aka Tarja vs Annette or fixate on them. Its a difficult life they endure for us. We should ALL be mindful of that.

Liv Kristen, Heidi (Amberian Dawn), Sabine (ELLIS, passed away), Sabine Edelsbacher (Edenbridge), Charlotte Wessels, and really, Annette Olzon. Alyson Avenue was and is a great band.Ailyn (Sirenia) is fabulous. Then theres Katra, Dotma, Visions of Atlantis.I have found over 300 fem metal bands and most are very good.Its why I started a TOTALLY FEM METAL CHANNEL dedicated to this genre.

Hey guys, do you know why there is a connection between EPICA and Floor Jansen? It goes back to After Forever which was Mark Jansens first band. He left that to work on some other stuff and while at the music school in Holland he met Simone who was studying to be like her idol Tarja. I am proud to know all of the EPICA band as actual friends and my channel id photos is me & Mark together. Its sad that Mark has been singing with MAYAN. EPICA will always be his singnature band.Simones too.

I have told him for several years that he needs to let Simone do the After Forever stuff as It would sound better. Its reported to be releasing late spring/early summer.THEY FIRED HER because of her antics.She later admitted that she had become: 'A bit too much to work with'. AF is a good band and pressure just got to them, especially Floor. There are so many metal fems out and more coming, MANY of which Floor inspired to begin with, so for her its a win/lose situation to try and stay fresh and energized with her sound.It cant be easy, and Im pulling for them all. They made a serious mark on this music.

They did. And they performed Sancta Terra together. But the sound quality was poor - not a patch on this. All that way for five concerts to build a new fan base - and the sound is so crap and Simone's voice so distorted - if you didnt see it was Simone you wouldn't know it. So Disappointing. But good to see 'the Little and Large' of the Female Metal Universe.

Actually she does both classic opera and symphonic metal....i mean OMFG who else does it..? ok there are many similarities (actually almost every single style of music has something of classic) but it 's not so easy........... Finally you should know that in order to hit those high notes you usually use falsetto (which makes the voice sound more operatic)

@RawrItsJuul let 's just say that queen of metal is fairly different from queen of symphonic metal...symphonic contains classic characteristics.....nightwish has lost their beauty without tarja.. anette 's voice is so childy and obviously not good in compare with tarja....But anyway range is a very iportant characteristic on a singer...of course not the only one....after all they have different voices...you like floor 's wich more natural as you say..i like tarja 's drama-operatic as i call it

@dimbill8 I do like the new nightwish style and tarja solo has some really great songs too. I love all of them and they sing beautiful in their own way. Anette does have the range of a soprano like tarja only not as high and not clasically trained its different and feels fresh i guess (but thats just my opinion). Lets just leave it at they are all great and a joy to listen to.

@RawrItsJuul I was involved with ProgPowerUSA for 9 years and know most of these people personally. They all have something good to offer. Mostly its just stupid to compare. But there are those that FIXATE on a single band or artist and become YT stalkers.I support artists and music. I have 2 well respected channels that revolve around this. This one is TOTALLY FEM METAL CHANNEL and there are some 300 fem metal bands I have found to be there.Thats great,its alot of great singers for us all.

@ladyroker9 Yo no creo que se vea mejor el de Simone, los arreglos vocales de Floor en esta cancion son sumamente buenos y es porque, justamente, estan en rangos vocales completamente diferentes.

Lo que si observo es que la voz de Simone ya no es opacada completamente por la de Floor porque ha cambiado su tecnica.. La compania de la otra le esta cayendo bastante bien xD
