  • I've seen pictures of the impressive werewolf puppet/bust online. I wish that it had a little more screen time here. Otherwise, good camera work and lighting.

  • This was really good. Totally Legit :D

  • This was nicely done. Good work.

  • Beautiful setting, love this modern spin on an old story.

  • Good job =]

  • Okay, Here's my critique. I think you have great potential and I hope you are able to handle the criticism I am giving you because if I didn't care then I wouldn't give you any criticism at all.

1.) The filming and scene shots are superb, very professional.

2.) The acting is average, not bad, not great.

    3.) The script doesn't work....subjects that can't be tackled in 9 minutes.

In the script you are telling us things instead of revealing things via the characters. Remember that acting is well, acting. We shouldn't be told that the two were lovers or that there was sexual attraction, it must be revealed, acted out...the glance of the actress toward the actor, body language, etc. Spoken words should be subtlely hinted at a deeper meaning. (continued)

  • @BoyintheMachine good points, there were some issues with this and you nailed it. the directing is solid and u said it good enough. short films need exaggeration, something that pops like Tales From The Crypt always did.

Finally, the script doesn't work here. Short films should come across as a slice of pie, giving the eater the knowledge of the rest of the pie. Basically, it's a slice of the character's existance, brief, normal, with the understanding that a lot happened before the short film started and more probably happened after the film ended, it's just wasn't included in the film. Part of the problem lies with the actors being unable to portray the normalness of day-to-day lives. (cont.)

In movies the perception must be created of an actor being immersed or incarnated in the character, fully in the flesh. The actors did not achieve this in this instance. They came across as actors playing a role the entire 9 minutes, not "real" people living their normal lives. They weren't "incarnated". (continued)

This brings me to the script. It doesn't work. In short films it's extremely important to have that twist, that "wowness" to stick with the audiance. The script lacks this.

Here's an example...The grandmother is the werewolf. Have the female lead always know this yet never revealing it to the audiance because this is her normal life. She could even have offered the caretaker as food! Something like this to make your film stick with an audiance.

Once more, I hope you aren't offended. Good luck. I think you have great potential. The shots are superbe, it's the script and acting that need work on.

  • Nice production values very good story. My only complaint is it needs to be tighten up a bit, editorialliy speaking. But, really nice job.

  • @TheGator95 Thanks, it was my first rodeo, I try to get better with each film. I'm really excited about the Sci-Fi film I'm about to make called "Unity." Thanks for watching watched your trailer, good stuff. I liked the the come back in one piece.

  • hi my name is scarlet and I'm a complete mary sue

  • I'm still watching it. But is this suppose to be like little red riding hood?

  • @FreestyleTraceur

Oh, that's a good observation I didn't even see that.

  • @JenicaT Thanks for watching.

  • @FreestyleTraceur Yes, it was a tribute film to the old folk tale. I always loved the story wanted to make a modern short film about it.
