@timewasteland Combination of coincidence and production decision. The 747 title was apparently from the producers number on a sample used in the song. And then it was mied/produced to last as long - probably not completely by coincidence.

When I lisent to the swedish version of 747 it feels like my dad sings to me through my headphones......he died when I was 4, im 17 now and I miss him every day that flies by.

I feel happy and sad at the same time......frustrated and calm.....all squized in this nostalgic feeling of a child running to his dad with open arms.

Stop saying Swedish is difficult. Its NOT more difficult than other languages. There are some pronunciations that might be a bit difficult, but that goes for all languages. Otherwise its a germanic language just like English and German, so for Americans, Brits, germans, dutch etc its actually very similar and fairly easy to learn.

@mry75 Hehe, feel bad for you for being a non swede, The songs meaning either gets lost in translation or makes the translations very weird and the rythm of the singing gets a bit mesed up. Some of the English versions are ok though. But yeah kent is amazing they made a ton of songs and out of those there's only one which is actually bad. (Duett, don't check it out :p)

I saw the english version of 747 on Mtv about 13 years ago, the next day i looked in virgin megastore for their album found it and bought it off the back of this song and still listen to it regularly so many good songs on this album great sound

break in America but it didnt go so well. they toured a bit stateside with swedish irony-rockers Whale and The Cardigans. this is like 10 years ago.
