hi.. this video was really useful and i managed to make a few ringtones easily...however in the ringtones folder on itunes it shows all the ones ive made, but on the iphone in the custom ringtones section it will only show one at a time. do u have any advise??my phone is not jailbroken. thanks vic
When you go to your control panel folder and select show known folder types, you will want to drag the song itself to the desktop (after steps shown before)
After that, edit the name from the m4a to m4r confirm you want to change it and then click on your background, de-selecting. Add this new song to your ringtones folder (double click to see ALL songs in it when you add) and after its in plug your phone in and simply drag and drop that newest song in. All should show up that way.
SCRATCH THAT WHOLE THING. I am thinking about manually doing it! Ok, for the site, after you download the song, change it to a m4r format (after you select biew known folder/file types) in the control panel. Now you will double click the ringtones folder, you will see all the tones, drag and drop them one by one onto the device right after you plug it in. IF THAT DOESNT WORK I will see what else I can do to help.
Under the library you right click the song and it will actually say "create a ringtone" but thats only for purchased files. This long method is for un-purchased songs, from limewire, frostwire or a download site similar to them.
