More than a decade I guess the next 5 years will challenge the strength of mankind to either salvage the collapse or transform. To prevent history from repeating I believe the influential parties could do the trend setting as many as entire world follows them. @jwka2001: It is not the question of nature needing our help, it is balancing our existence with nature. @thelion2430 The ozone hole is smaller than it once was. And is getting smaller. We've had periods on earth tons of times where the CO2 was higher and life gone on just fine. Infact it had many positive effects like faster plant growth, warmer temps etc. Sure there may be some trade offs btut any situation you'll have them. Humans and life could live in these environments and evolve. You give life not enough credit. People who want to save the environment only mean to stagnant it
