Amarillo's only saving grace is beautiful skies. The Big Texas; however, is only frequented by tourists. No one living in Amarillo, with any class or taste, would be caught dead at this tourist-trap. I lived in Amarillo for 23 years & only went to this hell-hole 3 times all of which were against my will. I hope it burns to the ground if only to stop the world from thinking that this is all Texas has to offer.
You should trying a chicken fried steak at the Country Barn. Go to the new location by Logans Road House and the West Gate Mall. Do not go to the Country Barn that is closer to the Big Texan, that location is under different ownership.
