  • BofGJA....Bank of Greedy Jew America

  • This could have been accomplished with less public demonstration. All they had to do was go in one by one and just close the accounts. THAT would have been the message to B of A and the protestors would have won.

  • bank of america gives credit cards to illegal aliens. thats right the bank of AMERICA handing money to NON-AMERICANS.

  • poor poor americans, thats really unfair

  • Bank of America really sucks! it went though a transaction after I called to tell them don't went though, also the card is the one I didn't event activate it! They charged me late fee and interest for this unreasonable transaction, and they said let me show the evidence that I shouldn't pay for that bill in order to dispute the transaction, but they never let the company which charged me illegal (T-mobile) to show the evidence why I should pay after I am not Tmobile's customer.

  • SKank of America

  • Hey guys, we are going to make a difference by closing our BoA accounts. But we're not going to close them separately, we're going to herd up into a big group and charge up there angrily. Maybe then they will notice us...Great one, how about you try just walking in there and asking nicely to close your account?

  • my x is still in our home after a forgery and behind by 42,000 and bank of america is paying the taxes and hes still there .Thats nice ha keep up the good work bank of america

  • how about you go in one at a time and i'm sure they would be happy to give back your 8.64 balance in your checking accounts.

  • I had no problem closing my account when I walked in without a megaphone. No one in the branch seemed to care one bit about me closing my account.... same outcome.

  • You mean there's a rational way to do this?

But what if I want girls to see me and think I'm brave and smart?

  • @MrHelloDavidHello you didn't have a mob of followers with you threatening to close their accounts as well. The threat is in numbers, and it takes money to make money. Your individual account means nothing compare to a large percentage of people who want out obviously.

  • @MrHelloDavidHello cuzz megaphone wake up other people, bank don't want that. wake up.

  • Not the only branch around. This is just ludicrous.

  • what a bunch of troublemaker-showoff. why dont they close their accounts later calmly without the cops around?

  • You should also complain to the lying Realtor who sold you an over priced house.

  • If you can't afford your home, you should downgrade...not force banks to pay for you to have a place to live. Take responsibility for your life.

Bank of America, on the other hand, should have let their customers in to close their account (as long as they did so without disturbing other customers).

BTW: I don't like either Bank of America or the squatters.

  • If anyone wants to close their account they should be able to close it at any time. As for OWS if they don't want to get arrested they should stay out of the road. Where I live that can get you a 100.00 ticket. The sidewalk is for people.

  • @edtrine it was legitimate to have the police there. these people just have to come back calmy and open their accounts one by one. but you cannot close your account while your manifesting like this. I don't understand your logic.

  • Wow I will not ever open a boa account. They don't even let you come to close it

  • @PGMEagle they let customers in but not angry crowds. just come back later calmly and ask to close your account. if they refuse, again calmy, make a check with the amount of your bank account to yourself.

  • Or just donate it all to the Ron Paul money bomb and...oh yeah, they don't like him, right?

  • FUCK YOU BANK OF AMERICA!!!!!!!

  • you people love the loans that the banks give to you, but now you dont want to pay back...?..stop been fucking retarded and dont take money from no one if you cant payed back..fucking monkeys the banks are only using your stupidity..the banks need you like the master need the slaves ..is all normal..dont fucking take money from no one ..money is not free,,you fucking retarded monkeys go get a job and pay more taxes ...lol..

  • b of a bring them down

  • i founded a new bank: mattrass dot com

  • Sorry if you can afford a home live in apt. sorry but at the same time FUCK BA@#@#@

  • BofA tries to hit me up to open an account every time I cash a check there. NO THANK YOU!

    I have a BIG pillow!

  • maybe using local credit unions s better. or nothing at all.

  • I bet all those people thought they would get a free house

  • These aren't peaceful assemblies...

  • fuckkkkk bank of america, more like bank of fags, fuck chase, chase my nuts, fuck citi, cds nuts.

fuckkk all the banks, they can kiss my ass.

  • My wife and I waved BYE BYE to these assholes a long time ago

  • It was dems who forced

  • @TheGeneralOfWar

But the sub-prime crisis has nothing to do w/the housing bubble...that was mostly caused by lots of people buying up houses, adding a gazebo or something, and then having their house re-appraised for 20% more or something like that, JUST for that damn gazebo or w/e.

    "housing bubble" != "sub-prime crisis"

  • @TheGeneralOfWar

That's a horrible and viscous lie. We have these guys at MULTIPLE institutions ON TAPE laughing about how they were ripping minorities off and ENJOYING IT. Around the industry, sub-primes were known as "ghetto loans" for a REASON.

And even if you WERE right and the government _did_ "push them" into giving out these loans, who the hell do you think BOUGHT and had control of our government in the FIRST PLACE? THE *BANKERS*!

  • lol can't they just go to a different Bank of America that doesn't have any protestors and close their accounts? O_o

  • I have hated BofA for years. It's nice to see the rest of American coming around.

  • bank of america is the worst bank and i know from personal experience they will not close your account. they will however make you think they did and just wait until it gets to six months and closes itself due to inactivity.

  • Bank of America has been fucking people up the ass for along time. Hope there is a hell. Hope they burn.

  • if your not paying for your home they legally have to shut down your home. they would be loosing money and corporate bastard or not who wants to loose money this is kind of stupid

  • Uhm, i thought you could close it online....just sayin..

  • omg just go another day without the protesters and close your damn accounts...

  • The Economy is a mathematical model of the flow of value through our society. A part or sector of that model is called ‘The housing market’. Note that the 2008 economic readjustment started in this sector. In the model, the housing sector is haywire. In the housing market people are playing speculation games with the basic need of shelter.

  • @bimmjim You forgot the part where the government forced the banks to give out loans to people that didn't qualify which was a major cause of the housing bubble.

  • @TheGeneralOfWar I didn't forget that. That was an attempt by the gov to fix what is wrong in the real-estate sector. It didnt work. How about this: put a very high tax on capital gains from real-estate.

  • Its amazing how many people try to defend the banks, for screwing us. Buying our politicians and profit off our misfortune. Yet they will never be charged for there crimes against us. Instead it was not there fault, they were forced to do risky loans with money they didnt have, the real reason we are even in this mess is because the tools of citizens we have in this country. They rather sit back and take it in the ass rather than fight.

  • @TheGeneralOfWar That was part of the housing scandal! Thumbed you down on that one

  • Comment removed

  • @TheGeneralOfWar You forgot the part where the banks saw what was going to happen and instead of alerting anyone, chose to profit off of it individually by hedging bets against the payment of those debts. While almost bankrupting the banks themselves, The bankers made off with hundreds of millions, if not billions.

  • @TheGeneralOfWar

Did the government tell the property appraiser (lender's agent) to submit an outcome-based appraisal?

Did the government order the lenders into dismissing all fiduciary responsibility in the underwriting process, and then force the “lenders” into forging documents?

Did the government force the lenders to securitize the loan in such a fashion as to bifurcate the mortgage from the note?

Did the government secretly cook up the concept of Credit Default Swaps

  • You can close your account online dipshits.

  • Maybe those people shouldnt buy homes they cant afford.

  • @lovecraftis1 Hmm its kind of obvious what there agenda was.. you have to be a extermely naive to belive that the ONLY purpose was to close there account and yes the bank in theory would have every right to arrest them of tresspassing if they did that -- problem is that the police dont have the manpower to arrest 100 protestors and remove them from the bank ( without teargassing the entire bank) -- so its just easier to keep them out the front.

  • @lovecraftis1 Yes but in this case they didnt want to close there account -- this was clearly a trick to get into the bank.. and then once in the bank they would probably occupy the bank and refuse to leave.

  • @badpanda84 ......where is that clear trick??? @ what number do I look for that--I missed it!

  • Good lord... what a bunch of morons....

Bank of America lost $2.2 billion in 2010. Look it up.

  • Bank a' Amurica

  • get us rights

  • @reel1840 DID YOU MEAN: "WE NEED TO GET OUR RIGHTS BACK"!!!!. SERIOUSLY!!!!!.

  • right now

  • Here's how to make a REAL statement - move your money and your business to a local Credit Union.

    I did....

  • No shit?? They didn't let an angry mob into the bank? Duh! Go one at a time and stop screaming and chanting. Otherwise you pose a potential security risk and are likely to be loud and disruptive, which is what you want. But don't act surprised that they know what you're doing. Besides, they called the cops, which probably got you the media attention you wanted. Congrats!

  • @elduderino1776 ha-ha, we're in a sustained decade-plus legislative, administrative, regulatory, and financial attack to utterly destroy capitalism and even pretense of free and honest markets, usher in what some call a banker-run global communism/fascism, plus financing terrorism and narcotics and funding private prisons, but the REAL problem in America is people "screaming and chanting".

I learn from investment bankers, analysts, economists, and govt officials. How about you?

  • @dilbertgeg I work at Chase, guy. I'm not against them trying to close their accounts at BOA or any other big bank. My point was simply that to sit there and wonder why they wouldn't let these people inside is idiotic. If they just came in a few at a time, they would've been helped in closing their accounts. But they really just wanted to draw media attention, which is fine, but just be honest about the purpose of the gathering, which was to be disruptive. Just keep it civil is all I'm saying.

  • @elduderino1776 so what was so uncivil?

  • @BigNeonGlitterGirl civil: courteous and polite. Screaming and yelling over a bullhorn is not civil and no employee of any big bank, small bank, or any other business would ever let these people in to perform any transactions because they are being loud and disruptive. Do you honestly not know the definition of civility or are you just trying to find something to argue?

  • @elduderino1776 Well no I just wanted to know your reason for saying such rubbish....and now I know--you're an idiot!

These people are pissed because of what is happening--they have the right to be pissed because they have invested their money into this sham of a bank. You need to learn what what uncivil is! Just because they were speaking through a bull horn or hollering doesn't constitute uncivil. They have the RIGHT to demand their money--because IT IS THEIRS! I hope it happens to you chump!

  • @BigNeonGlitterGirl Two problems with that..

    a) if you were to walking into a bank right know and start yelling speaking to the teller in a bull horn you would probably get kicked out of the bank.. ( if the cops happened to be there)

    and

    b) they are clearly doing this for attention -- if they geninuely wanted to close there account ( and I doubt any of these protest actually did) they could have done so without generating so much attention

  • @BigNeonGlitterGirl

"Just because they were speaking through a bull horn or hollering doesn't constitute uncivil"

Yes it dose -- why dont you try it -- actually it should be intersting -- next time why dont you speak to everyone you met via a bullhorn ( ie when you are doing you shopping , going to a restuarant , going to work.. etc)

  • @BigNeonGlitterGirl "They have the RIGHT to demand their money--because IT IS THEIRS!"

Techincally you are wrong -- this might be a difficult concept for you to understand but I will try..

OK when you open a saving account -you are effectively loaning you money to the bank -- however once you give that money to the bank -- it is the banks money -- in the sense that they can do whatever they want with it.. what you get in return is an IOU --

  • @BigNeonGlitterGirl

"they have the right to be pissed because they have invested their money into this sham of a bank."

IF they invested in shares in the bank -- then yes they might have a right to be pissed ( depending on the stock price)

But if they simply open a bank account that is diffrence... because it dosent matter what the bank dose with you money -- you "returns" are guaranetted -- even if the bank makes stupid investment decisions

  • @badpanda84 Dude haha I'm sorry I do have issues with spelling from time to time~for instance I'll spell "your" instead of "you're"...for you are~ but you baby...you got me beat on the spelling and proper english~just sayin'!

As to the rest of what you said~ yeah I kinda agree but the bottom line is~how would you feel if your bank pissed you off for WHAT EVER reasons~ when you went to withdrawl-(totally irritated) they told you "NOPE go away"! Like they own your money~Thats NAZI Shit! ~U know!

  • @BigNeonGlitterGirl

" when you went to withdrawl-(totally irritated) they told you "NOPE go away"

That is not what happend -- but yes if you acutally did go into the bank with a bull horn and harrassed the bank teller -- there is a good change the cops or security will be called

  • @badpanda84 I'm reading your reply to "lovecraftis" and I think you're completely out of line for saying that. You are assuming...that is all. They were not going to go in and occupy --they were going to WITHDRAWL! Stop reading your dumb drama into the story...everyone can see for themselves what was happening. They were protesting the sleazeballs and were going to go in and take their money back.....but the bank acts as if they own their money! Your an asshole and you just want to argue!

  • People, stop asking why boa isn't letting people close accounts. It's a stupid question based on a false premise, and you look like idiots for repeating it over and over when the answer is staring you straight in the face. When you show up as a mob seeking to create chaos, a business has every right to deny you entry. You have every right to close your accounts, and you will no doubt be able to do so if you don't act like petulant children in the midddle of a temper tantrum.

  • OK, one last time for The Stupids. B of A did not allow these specific people to close their accounts on this specific day because they showed up as a protesting mob. It had nothing to do with not having the cash to cover the withdrawals and everything to do with keeping an unruly mob out of their office. Act like a human being, treat the people who work for the bank with a little respect, and they will smile, give your your money and wish you a nice day.

  • @dano1881 BCCI (Bank of Credit and Commerce International) was a bank & ponzi scheme from Abu Dhabi that financed Iranian mullahs like Ayatollah Kohmeini, Medellin Cartel, Abu Nidal, terrorists, narcotics, weapons, human trafficking. Big 80s scandal that was covered up. Ollie North and CIA had slush-fund accounts too.

Bank of America was one of their partners.

  • What bullshit! If any one of those guys calmly walked in the door and politely asked to close their account they would be more than happy to do so. Its because they get 50 people together and start hootin and hollering like a bunch of monkeys that they're not allowed in the door! I cant think of a single business other than a KFC that would let them in. Can you go to a starbucks with a mob of screaming assholes with bullhorns and order coffee? FUCK NO! They will call the cops too!

  • @dlp110530 ha, well said

  • Bank of America is the worst of the worst. I have never seen a company in my life that has screwed more people. I originally had a credit account with another bank which was acquired by Bank of America, and despite my perfect payment record - THEY DOUBLED MY INTEREST RATE FOR NO REASON. I will have them paid off soon, then I will tell them to go to hell.

So they won't let people close their accounts? Then people should NOT vacate their foreclosed houses.

  • The Great Depression...all over again.

  • @dano1881 Not if everyone in one town wants to close their accounts over the course of 6 months and it would cause that branch to close down. Dumbass!

  • @MrSurfingdreamer-So what? if ur aunt had a set of balls she'd be your uncle. Prediction:you protesting retards will not be responsible for a single branch closing its doors. But it might be worthwhile to consider the effects in terms of middle class jobs lost if somehow you were successful. Most people who work in that bank make less than 100k.You're basically trying to put them all out of work.I'm sure they'd rush to thank you for costing them their jobs and enlist in your cause without delay.

  • @dano1881 So you APPROVE of $16 Trillion in Fed Reserve bailouts, 0% loans, and putting toxic debt onto taxpayers so a few people can keep 100k jobs? MOVE TO COMMUNIST/FACIST STATE, ASSHOLE. You are very happy with Dictators. Free Markets with risk, success-failure is no good. Wealth must be GUARANTEED. There's a few Middle East and post-Soviet kleptocrats you might enjoy.

Or just enjoy the Obama-Bernanke-Geithner regime.

  • The Great Depression...History is our best teacher...Learn from it...The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior...Knowledge is power, if and only if, we choose to use it!

  • These banks fund the white genocide program so yes please do withdraw your funds from these criminal enterprises.

Heard the rumor circulating the internet? anti-racist is a codeword for anti-white.

  • @dungeoncrawler55 what do they have to do, kill how many, to prove to you they will starve and kill anyone, whites and non-whties, there's a mass murder campaign by Al-Qaeda of black African workers in Libya sponsored by Obama and NATO.

An obscure fact coming from a left wing writer that one of the Rothschild family, more a British Lord connected to BP (Anglo-Iran Oil) than any Jewish allegiance, was behind staging the Captain Dreyfuss scandal in France for WW One, and likely support for Nazis.

  • @dungeoncrawler55 Oh yeah, I heard about the rumor. It was concocted by a basement dwelling Neo-Nazi redneck. *sigh* No one gets more intellectual than that. Speaking about intellectuals, lemme guess, somehow the Jews are behind this.

  • @corneater23 its NOT ONLY the jews....but Yes indeed Jews are major players in this.

  • @mrtundra45 Please provide compelling evidence, by all means, knock yourself out.

  • @mrtundra45 next it will be the romans, right?

  • @mrtundra45 The Jews? haha, that's pretty funny. You really think that most of the top 1% are Jews?

  • @OccupyIdeas The top 1% does not need to be mainly jews for them to have the power....come on do your own research most of the banking families are indeed jewish, it's clearly evident that a few families run the show...whoever controls the Fed Reserve controls everything. Give me control of a nation's money and I care not for it's laws...Rothschild's own words.

  • @Nebbyker Listen to reason instead of hatemongers: there are "Jewish" people responsible for structural poverty, "Muslim" people, and "Christian" people. If you want to play a silly numbers game, the majority of those in power in the global north are "Christian." Anyone who knows anything at all about the Abrahamic texts knows, however, that these bankers are neither C, J, or M. Actual C, J, and M (like J-Pales. peace coalitions in Israel) are fighting for real change all around the world.

  • @OccupyIdeas Actually they are. 51-52% 0f Billionaires in America are Jewish. Don't get angry just look it up.

  • @kwacou Why would we get angry? 1) cite your source; and, more importantly 2) what's the point that you're trying to make? What does peoples' professed (though not actual - see our comments to Nebbyker) religion have to do with anythign at all? Please do not let hatemongers divert your attention towards race or religion. We are tasked with addressing global economic inequality and inequities, and this task becomes much harder when we focus on irrelevent identity politics.

  • @OccupyIdeas I was not angry. 2ndly, when stereotypes about Jewish people are found to be true, the first thing to be thrown is the antisemitism, Jew hating etc brush all with a tar brush response, instead of looking at what was said and how its being said. Before you start, my family is Sephardi (originally from Portugal) and have been happily Jamaican for over 375 yrs.Having been to the US many times,I find many of the Jewish stereotypes to be true. We're not like them in Jamaica thank God.

  • @kwacou 1) We did not say you were angry. You said don't get angry and we responded, "why would we get angry?" 2) Thank god you're not like "them"? Jewish people in the US? You have a negative view of a large, politically heterogenous population? What cause does that negativity serve? Wouldn't you be better served addressing issues? like peace activists (a group in which Jews are overrepresented) who protest against US/Israeli policies? or ant-corp activists, like Naomi Klein, or Paul Krugman?

  • @dungeoncrawler55 shut the fuck up you racist asshole

  • They wont let you close accounts? Fuck them its our money not the banks . banks are nothing , all the power they have is actualy the peoples. Why anyone would use a bank is beyond me. Credit unions people , credit unions.

  • Or they could do exactly what they are doing, stop people from closing there accounts so steps 2 through 5 dont happen.

  • Step 1. Make a run on the bank Step 2. Foreclosures go up Step 3: Bank declares ..bankruptcy Step 4: Government bailout of the bank because it going fully under would do more harm to the economy then good Step 5: pissed off OWS, because they didnt educate themselves on what they were actually doing :(

  • I'm becoming more and more embarrased every day to be American. It's not because of the protesters. It's the simple minded cattle who think everything is ok and theres no reason to protest. You all need a serious history lesson. It's your duty to get involved.

  • @MrSafetymeeting

I read you loud and clear, buddy. The American people need to get behind this protest, not criticize it.

  • @mrbwoab - with the extremist rhetoric, violence and criminal behavior associated with OWS, they have basically alienated themselves from the vast majority of the american public. Most of the criticism of this movement is entirely warranted. And the funny thing is you guys had the media covering up all of this for you, but the truth still leaked out.

  • Comment removed

  • @dano1881 What about the extremist rhetoric, violence and outright criminal behavior associated with Wall Street? Detailed by former prosecutor William Black who put 1000 bankers in prison in the 80s.

They might not appear violent, but they pay others to do the killing for them, here and especially elsewhere. Immunity from both charges and even investigating fraud & stealing billions, trillions.

Tim Geithner SECRETLY gave billions to one bank before they gave him keys to the Treasury.

  • @dano1881 Then you had damned well better preach that US soldiers deserve to get killed in Iraq because the US military is an extremist organization that resorts to violence and an illegal war in Iraq. Iraq, like every country, had laws against being violently overthrown.

  • Way to go folks! Its nice to see others fighting the same fight we are here in MA. Its surprising to see how many intellectually lazy negative comments there are on this first page. Too lazy to analyze whether a bank committed criminal fraud or not and then too lazy again to put together a credible argument to support the criminal fraud not being prosecuted. Its just more cliched self congratulatory bootstraps bullshit. We're kicking BOA ass here in Mass!

  • the bank loans out money to people who can't pay them back and they expect the banks to forgive their loans, worst they expect the american taxpayers to pay off their loans, what about all the people who do not own homes who are being forced to pay for these bailouts? its not the banks fault its the governments fault! banks have no power governments do! idiots!

  • @ABGAN100 thank god for your comment, you saved me alot of typing. America, listen up, if you dont have the money, dont buy it. Its not rocket science. I dont want to pick up your slack. Its easier for you to blame someone for your shitty life then it is to change it. Does america have no work ethic left?

  • @zooders

Good. Then I'll print myself all the money I want, just like Wall Street and the Fed do. Then you can't complain.

Why should fiat money be the only required condition to buy things? How about moral credits: I'm vegan, not a breeder. I deserve more because I consume and pollute less.

  • @mphello so you basically are saying you should have better treatment and more rights based upon a personal choice? you are seriously out to lunch. How do you consume and pollute less? Do you not take shits? do you not drink water? Youre obviously using some sort of electronic device to try and somehow justify yourself online...where is that power coming from? you pollute and consume just as much as everyone else...do you drive a hybrid or an electric car? id love to know that.

  • @ABGAN100 no the occupy movement spends more time thinking up clever slogans that dont really make any sense and sit on their ass griping about not having a job. Well guess what, im a 24 year old white male who is working his way through college by means of skilled trade labor. I work 10 to 12 hours a day. some months 7 days a week. barely have enough time for sleep. The occupiers dont want work cause the most work they have dont this year is the movement itself

  • @zooders whats wrong with u boy are u trying to be mexican lol hahahah

  • @zooders You should be grateful that OWS protestors/soldiers are fighting for YOUR way of life, for YOU to get paid ANY salary at all.

    = im a 24 year old white male =

Wow. What a surprise. If you were anything but, you'd be praising the heroes in OWS movement. Unlike you, however, they don't get paid for THEIR incredible hard work and struggles.

  • @mphello what struggles, what heroes? what are they fighting for, there is no clear objective, they are all screaming about different things, please tell me what it is about, id love to know

  • @ABGAN100 i dont get you people. you want change, but you want it given to you...you are children in a grocery store complaining to mommy that candy is the only thing they want and if they dont get it now...for free...they will scream and cry.

  • @ABGAN100 you know what the difference between and occupier and a puppy is?

The puppy stops whining when it grows up

  • you go and open an acct at another locally owned bank or credit union, write the check from your BoA acct and if BoA refuses to honor it they will be sued by the new bank for refusal to honor fair practice laws

  • bank of america was originally called Bank of Italy, just FYI

  • hehe the black guy gonna close his account and get his 12$ back

  • Why Bank of America is refusing to close bank accounts ?

  • We,the 99%ers,deal with this 1% on a daily basis, and each and every one of us that do--serve them in some small way----can have an affect on them. The 1% actually NEED US.There are MANY things that these "people" cannot do for themselves. The pace at which you work can have undesirable consequences.Time is money, don't you know? You can't fly an airplane w/o a pilot.Yachts can't be operated by an individual.A furnace won't fix itself, nor plumbing, nor roofing & you certainly can't fill a cavity.U.C?

  • @eyerishiam so what are you saying, that the one percenters are bad for giving people like that jobs? youre out to lunch kid. And if the 99% have it so hard...why do 80% have air conditioning, 72% have cable or sat tv, 65% have internet, 60% have one or more vehicles...what more do you want, you want to redistribute wealth that the millionaires and billionaires worked so hard for. a little knowledge for ya...82% of millionaires are first generation wealthy, and 91% of billionaires.

  • @zooders those are some impressive stats, where did you find them? Do you truly expect us to believe that 91% of billionaires grew up poor? LMAO Best laugh I've had in weeks troll.

  • @TheMacDuane really warren buffet, poor as dirt, bill gates poor as dirt as a child...itsa true stat unless you are a Walton or a Rothschild or a Rockefeller...other wise, the rest are first generation rich...look it up clown instead of dismissing it cause it doesnt make sense to you.

  • @zooders Anyone who even lives in America is not part of the 99%..

  • @badpanda84 so all the occupy wall streeters are not part of the 99%? then why are they screaming that they are? so let me get this right? they are all worth billions?

  • Comment removed

  • @zooders so let me get this right? they are all worth billions?"

You dont have to be worth billion to be in the 1% -- think about it -- the majority of the world is in poverty ( earning less that $2 a day ( keep in mind 40% of the world population lives in china and india)

American make up about 4% of the world population. Now if we assume people in America are the richest people in the world that would mean that 1 in 4 of them are in the so called "1%" ( 25% of 4%)

  • @zooders "then why are they screaming that they are"

because they are idiots -- what they dont understand is that even the poorest person is American is much better of that say an "lower class person in a thrid world country"

American simply dont travel enough to relaise what true poverty is..

In realiaity if any should protest it should be the people in china , india , africa ( and all the other third world countries ) yet its only white people protesting

  • @badpanda84 ive traveled quite a lot. been to very poor countries. Laos, Ecuador, Peru, Mozambique, Turkey, and Mongolia. So yes, i know what poor is. but these people are not poor nor are they mistreated, the occupy wallstreet crowd is just a bunch of whiners, im glad you are not among them

  • @eyerishiam They are the hardest working people. For instance. My father is a Financial Advisor. He owns his own business doing so. he makes roughly 2 million a year. you know how he got there. He sold insulation door to door to get himself through college cause his dad was a carpenter with very little income. He then worked all through my childhood, hes been in business 27 years. and for the first 19 he worked 18 hours a day 6 days a week. never missing anything in 19 years. DO YOU DO THE SAME?

Then according to you, soldiers do no work, because soldiers only fight and kill other people to steal their territory. However, soldiers with their cushy easy no-stress jobs get free welfare (i.e. tax dollars) from the taxpayer.

  • @mphello thats pretty insulting seeing as how i have several friends who are now crippled because of the wars and a few that are dead. Not to mention im not so sure you know the kind of work we do. Im sure you could handle it, but only maybe. its alot of work, alot of work that you cant pick and chose what to do. i understand your stance up its totally insulting to those who chose to join and fight and work.

  • My husband tried to close his acct, in mid-month. B of A gave him a penny interest on his savings acct & therefore, supposedly both his checking and savings accts were still open. Then, when a yearly bill came in for pymt (which would not have been a problem if B of A had simply closed the acct as requested), they charged him $200 for a supposed overdraft. B of A's idea of customer service.
