I looked under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> SOFTWARE For The Sims 3 but it isn't there. I did a search of the registry and it found it under Wow6432Node ---> Electronic Arts ---> Sims ---> The Sims 3

Hopefully this helps someone. Also I'm running Windows 7.

@bsbinmyheart crack goes in game/bin then it will work unless ur crack does not work in which case you will need to download a new one

@runnakos Thanks for the quick response, I managed to update the game by getting rid of the crack. I foiund the sims in regedit but there's no "sku" to change to 2 either unfortunately. And the help files I do not believe came with my installation.. I'll keep working at it though. All I downloaded was the rar (which containted the iso) and all the archive files. no help files though!

@Chinesa16 try updating through the launcher, if that fails you will need to uninstall all your sims 3 games and reinstall them, the error usually occurs if u have mods or cracks in your game folders and sometimes store items will cause this too.

@runnakos @runnakos that didn't work :S but i downloaded the torrent that says from RELOADED to RAZOR release patch that is in TPB and installed it before doing what you say in this tutorial and then it worked just fine :)

Extract Sims3.rar to The Sims 3 Directory then

Use Regedit change the SKU value to 2 then patch

Sims3_1.2.7.00002_from_1.0.631­.00002 then patch

Sims3_1.6.6.002002_from_1.2.7.­00002 then install

World Adventures and crack it

no more loading screen crash and black loading screen

Downloaded the patches Sims3_2.3.33.003002_from_2.0.8­6.002002 and Sims3_2.4.7.004002_from_2.3.33­.003002 and Sims3_2.5.12.004002_from_2.4.7­.004002

it gets past Anti piracy loading game stops but shuts down a few seconds after the games done loading now help

@leozafina has something to do with your computer a few people fixed it by updating their drivers or reinstalling the game. You can also go to the sims 3 forums and look at peoples posts there for more things that may cause it and ways to fix it.

Well everytime I do a fresh Instal of SIms 3 and SIms 3 WA... when I get to the part I instal SIms 3 WA it always says that the file ''blablabla'' is not corresponding to the .cab file...

And sorry for using ''Blablabla'' is just cause if I ignore... it still appear another saying the file ''blablabla'' ( diferent one) does not correspond to the .cab file... and it so goes on... untill it finish the installation :(

@deadkiba if your not using vista it will be somewhere diferent but im not sure exactly where abouts you can just try skipping that step but if you get an error when installing you will need to locate it
