i think that if there is a possible way for 'ghosts' or energy based entities to communicate they are not able to communicate through technology clearly as, you can only hear what you need to hear or want to hear. so it will come out as a mixture between different messages and you have to choose which one it may be. the real ones are not describable.

Are you sure it was 'sorrow' and not 'sorry'? There's a distinct difference between the two phrases and it might be helpful to know which it actually is. Cool EVP though. :]
EVPs are to the ears what optical illusions are to the eye. A proper test would be to play random clips and ask people what they think they heard. Instead you play a clip, *telling* people what to listen for.
Don't believe me? Play this clip for a friend, don't tell them what the title is, and ask them what the words are.
Then tell them its "its off you" and play it back. They'll agree. EVPs are illusions once properly tested without cheating.

EVPs are insanely easy to fake, debunk, etc. Hell, faked ones I created and sent to an EVP site some years back posted them as "Grade A" captures. People just want to believe so badly that they become blind to facts. The mind is a wonderful thing, but it can also make one believe in things that aren't actually there or as they are presented.
Yes, EVPs are definately very easy to fake, but since for me at least it is so easy to capture real ones, I don't see the point. I always recommend everyone to capture their own EVPs so they know they are real, not to take my word or anyone elses word for it. I do my best to make sure every EVP I post is legitimate, but unfortunately not everyone in the world knows me and knows that I am trustworthy. So, capture your own EVPs if you're in doubt. A Sony ICD-B16 recorder does a great job!
I do agree, some of them are faked. I couldn't make many of the ones I took out. One of them sounded very condesending, the other was just a little girl making the noise, "Boop, boop, boop!" And we hear the ticking of a grandfather clock and what sounds like faint coughing or sighing. Never anything THIS clear. I don't have the clean-up softwear though. XD

Yea, with EVPs you do get the harder to hear and make out ones more often than the good ones, that is for sure.. it is always a problem knowing for sure if an EVP is fake because they would be easy to fake. I don't see what the point of making fakes ones would be, though, at least from my experience, it is so easy to get real ones.
@ezrakudo I find that an easy way to tell is to look at the waves in the audio program. Their voices aren't human so it's not going cause a huge spike in the waves. It's just the difference between someone talking in to a mic & something being picked up that you can't see. It'll look like someone used a recorder and a spirit dubbed their voice in after without altering the actual recording or sound waves. Sometimes you see alterations but it's extremely subtle, not high & outta control.
Ghosts dont have vocal chords so this has to be a human...
