I didn't know burning an abandon building, and attending a demonstration against a war they were being drafted to was punishable by death. Land of the free? I dont think so.
@blackflagvom Go to Cuba, then. See if you like it there when you are hung from a palm tree with your throat slit. You are free to leave anytime you like. I will even pay for the plane tickets and give the Cubans the rope.
@1STACCS Hmmm... you seem to be all over these Kent State vids, "encouraging" everyone to go to Cuba. What you don't seem to understand, is that what the Guard did to those kids, WAS something that one would see in Cuba. But they were in the U.S. where they were supposed to have rights. Since you can't tolerate anyone disagreeing with you, maybe YOU would fit in better in Cuba?! Oh... will you still pay for my plane ticket~ I may use it for another destination, but it's so nice of you to offer!
@emaleariel I am not encouraging people to go to Cuba, just using that country to illustrate how good these kids have and had it here in the USA. That mob gave up their rights when they became deadly. They then had the right to a funeral.
@blackflagvom Destroying property and rioting doesn't justify the reasons of the protesters. That riot would have gone out of control and spread into the city. It had to stop, right there.
When the national guard shows up with 3 platoons then points an M1 at you logic dictates you move out of the area ASAP instead of challenging the gun. This situation escalated when the students protest outweighed common sense.
lived thru that era, and was a big hippie chick, love a good protest! a little more conservative today, but stll believe in the right to a peaceful demonstration! Kent State was the MURDER of four people, i think heads should have swung from a rope for doing this to these kids! still maskes me cry :-(
Fuck the hippies....Too bad they didn't shoot the rest of them !!!!!!!!!

A sad day, but the students burned a building, damaged property, rioted and more.
If they did that to my property, I would have had a legal right to shoot and kill.
And I would have done so.
Do not blame the National Guard.
Blame the students.
They started it all.

@1STACCS That still doesn't justify the hypocrisy.

@blackflagvom When you are going to threaten the lives of many people, deadly force must be taken.

@blackflagvom If you don't like it here, you can always go to the Sudan. See how you like it over there.
