Great cover. Very good audio mix (stereo panning) and arrangement. Not many people have the guts to cover this song. I think I have the only drum cover on YT.
@rhythmantic Thanks Sal. After we recorded it my son Paul commented that he wasn't supposed to play a solo after the 1st verse. I told him "so what, it sounded good and that is our version". I was pleasantly surprised with the stereo panning. I can't take any credit for it though because I did no mixing. Whatever caused it to sound like that was a fluke. Maybe a setting in the digital camera audio got changed. I will have to look at the camera audio settings. I will check out your drum cover.
@classican Thanks Pete....Paul read your comment and thanks you....He is talking about putting up a YT channel...He has a liking for jazz as I know you do...you two are in another stratosphere when it comes to playing the guitar. I am happy just to be able strum the chords and sing. It's a whole different side of the coin for me from drumming and I really enjoy it.....You keep rocking my friend. BTW very very nice guitar work in the Gypsy collab with Karen....Nick
sounds great Nick and Paul !!! Your son really knows how to play the guitar ! Awesome !!! I also like the singing very much :-)) ! of course all thumbs up !!! best wishes from Karen-Gipsy-Girl :-)) (at the moment)
@cliff250 Hey Cliff..Thanks...a rock/folk group from the '60's and '70's. Their lyrics were pretty cool. This was a time of drug experimentation, Vietnam war, hippies and alot of things so some of their lyrics relate to some of this stuff. Roger McGuinn played a 12 string electric and helped give the band its unique sound. He still plays today. Check them out on YT and I'll bet you will recognize 2 major hits they had Turn, Turn, Turn and Mr. Tamborine Man ... Nick
