This is one of the best songs of the 80s, even more so than there breakthrough hit. Ever time I hear this song It brings back memories of the mid 80s. Great song!
Look at that crowd! Holy cow!!! I've heard that a-ha were (are) big in South America, but this is INSANE! Love a-ha though, so I'm extremely pleased for their sake. :-P
In 1991 they played for a crowd twice as large in Rio and set a Guinnes book world record playing for the largest paying audience in the world, 198 000 people. Search for a-ha at rock in rio, maracana stadium, rio
@Cta2006 Correction: Ac/dc is a rock band, the two others are metal bands!
A-ha is also kind of a rock band btw. New-wave is a subgenre of rock, and A-ha incorporates a lot of rock music into their music, and some of the songs, like this, rocks like hell ! :)
@Cta2006 In 1991, AC/DC, Metallica, Pantera and some other artists, played in Russia one of the biggest gig in Rock history and the biggest in a Monsters of Rock Festival, in front of 1.6 million people in the Tushino Airfield.
I'm sorry, I don't get what you are replying too. Was it one of my posts ? The Monsters of Rock show in Russia in 1991 was a free concert and not a paying audience like a-ha's concert at Maracana in Rio. It is therefore irrelevant in this discussion.
@myrkvarg sorry but you are wrong. Those bands played with other famous bands like The Rolling Stones at a Live Aid sort of concert. The biggest paying audience for one band at one gig is still a-ha at Rock in Rio 1991.
@myrkvarg you are dead right. But that wasn't held in a stadium. Robbie Williams, Oasis and Maiden (couple of times) have performed in front of bigger audiences but have never played in a stadium with 198,000 people.
@myrkvarg On 30 July 2003 the AC/DC performed with The Rolling Stones and Rush at Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto. The concert, held before an audience of half a million, was intended to help the city overcome the negative publicity stemming from the effects of a 2003 SARS epidemic. The concert holds the record for the largest paid music event in North American history.
E a voz do Morten? Soava como um trovão e ao mesmo tempo como uma brisa doce.
Ainda soa assim ... Estamos esperando por eles agora em março. Abraços

Iron Maiden, Ac/Dc and Metallica are rock bands. a-ha held the record for pop band. When that is said I don't know if they still got it.

Irrelevant as the record was for "largest concert audience for a popband"

@Cta2006 They still have the record for most paying audience ever, thats not irrelevant

@Silviatube2006
just saying- as a musician myself this sounds weak- don't take so personal!!? lol
I have also performed this song as a session vocalist- so know how it could sound live. #
just expected better from the actual creators of the song.
chill :))

This is a long time ago. You should check out some of their , more recent live performances of this song.

@jkvocalist Could this be the fault of the recording? I would think that the sound would have been much much better in person.
