Fantastic dogs, I'd get one myself if people wern't so ignorant "running for their lives" if only they see a rottweiler out of leach. I have a 12 year old English setter now, nobody has a problem with her running around loose in the neighbourhood. But she never go more than about 200 meters from my house. If it was a rottweiler they'd probably have her shot. Rotz are stunningly beutiful and cool dogs though. And raised properly they're gentle and perfectly safe.

i lost my rotty 3 years ago he was my bestfriend we lived in the country and our dogs were not aloud in but he was . when i was littaler he was at your heals if u had me and he always slept by me and my mom said i climbed al over me and he didnt do anything.i misss byt big buetiful teddy bear.writh now i have a gsd and a lab.my grandpa has a rotty right now and she is so different to what snoopy was like she is extremely hyper and barks all the time at flies trees ex (r.i.p snoopy)

I have got two dogs now, but of a different breed, we are still with "german" dogs, just now we have two German Short Hair Pointers, My brother has a rott, his name is EMBRO, and we see him alot!! he is a wonderfull dog, we do adore our GSP's they are beautifull and have a very different character then Sampson did, these dogs are MUCH more energetic, most of the time too much for me!! LOL but we hunt birds and that was the decision behind the choice of breed..
I lost my best friend Sampson to old age last year on august the 4th, I was there the day he was born, and there the day he had to go, I was truly the hardest day of my life, Don't think I could ever have another rott again, I don't think that another could match him, my expectations would be too high......

AWESOME video. I am the proud owner/parent of two Rottweilers; they are, in my opinion, the greatest breed ever. Absolutely wonderful. Smart. Loyal. Loving. Protective. Tough as nails. Funny. Caring. Sensitive. Etc. This video shows how great they are; what a joy. Our female was acquired as a puppy, and our male was a rescue. They are awesome. I don't know what I would do without them. GUYS there are two kinds of rottweilers! german ones and amreican ones. the german ones are the rottweilers who look scarier with big square heads. the american ones are the sweet looking ones with circular heads, not as scary as the ger man. examples: 0:27 is a german rottweiler. 2:32 is an american one, like mine!

I appreciate the idealism of freedom to own any breed of dog, but what about those IDIOT owners who want a potentially vicious breed because they want an attack dog, not knowing the full repercussions of their actions (eg babies killed by mauling). My neighbors kids loved that dog. It broke my heart to tell them that he couldnt come out to play with them anymore. They still have my Pit to pet. I wont let my onry old Lab mix near them unless Im right next to her.
I miss my Rottweiler so much. This breed is so loving and loyal and gentle. At least that's how we raised ours to be. And even though we trusted him with us 100%, I would still take care around strangers. Because they are so loyal to family, you need to be careful. ANY PET can bite if they feel threatened, but most likely won't if raised with kindness and love. They're NO DIFFERENT than other breeds. I know in my heart our rott wouldn't hurt a fly,but still took care around strangers anyway.

When he was 2 I caught my old neighbors kid trying to hit him in the face with a stick through the fence. Trying to provoke him I guess. I chewed the brat out. Excelentes Rottwaillers muy pero muy hermosos, yo tuve una asi pero lamentablemente le dieron bocado y murio en la noche le dieron una patada en el vientre y fue dañada sus bbs nacieron muy prematuros solo vivieron 9 horas de ahi murieron los 4 que nacieron llore desconsoladamente y poco a poco me recupere por la gran perdida..

i am a new owner to a rott.. i got him in september hes a purebred and i just wanna say that i give props to everyone tryin to protect such a beautiful, loyal, and affectionate animal..here in iowa there are a few bans on them but ill just move..when i first bought him my family said i couldnt bring him around but i did anywya and they all love him dearly. he loves kids and other dogs he is not aggressive at all! they are like ppl they turn out how they were raised.. thanks to all for the videos

I can't really say I have a Rott because my dog is crossed between dobermann and rottweiler. Got her from a dog pound with two years. Damn, when I saw the dog and when the guy told me that they will kill it in one week because she was a crossed one and a female, so nobody wanted it, I bring her home without thinking twice.
My rottwiller Hooker, died on 1996, My childhood and adolesence was great because he was with me. He was very lovely, very smart... an I miss him too much since his died. Thanks to post this compilation and analysis, we need to care dogs and then they will care us. Rigth now I have a new Puppy (boxer: Hannah) The first one since his dead. He was MY Unique and unforgettable rottwiler,he was part of my family too.

Nice video, makes me think of my rottie named Chuy. The animal control broke into my backyard and took him away. By the time i got to the dog pound, they already murdered him. **There were reports of a loose dog in my neighborhood, but my Chuy slept in our house during the night and he was a 95 pound teddy bear, he wouldnt hurt a fly.

To all Rott owners, we know their true nature, regardless of the hype. Nothing in words can express what they can give. Other breeds can be 100%, but I believe the average Rott rates a minimum 102%.
As a side note, who's Rott does the "purr"? That sort of gurgle/growl/tongue hanging out thing when you do belly pets. Scared me the first time, as I thought mine wasn't liking the affection. I stopped, he liked my nose, we continued as he did opera. Now that is a silly Rott thing.

I've got a Rottie/Lab mix named Miles. He is about 105 lbs. and is a huge teddy bear. Everyone that has ever met him falls in love. Looks just like a Rottie with a tail and slightly longer snout. The ultimate mixed breed!

Rottweilers don't deserve the bad rap that has been given to them. They (like some other breeds) are influenced by the people in their environment. Instability isn't always a result of poor breeding. Neurotic people have neurotic dogs,and that is a problem when their dog of choice is a large, protective breed

i lost my rotty 3 years ago he was my bestfriend we lived in the country and our dogs were not aloud in but he was . when i was littaler he was at your heals if u had me and he always slept by me and my mom said i climbed al over me and he didnt do anything.i misss byt big buetiful teddy bear.writh now i have a gsd and a lab.my grandpa has a rotty right now and she is so different to what snoopy was like she is extremely hyper and barks all the time at flies trees ex (r.i.p snoopy)

I have got two dogs now, but of a different breed, we are still with "german" dogs, just now we have two German Short Hair Pointers, My brother has a rott, his name is EMBRO, and we see him alot!! he is a wonderfull dog, we do adore our GSP's they are beautifull and have a very different character then Sampson did, these dogs are MUCH more energetic, most of the time too much for me!! LOL but we hunt birds and that was the decision behind the choice of breed..

@butcher0672 same i think about my Mona.my German shepherd,died for over 20 years and today i must wipe away my tears when i think back to our good days.we had so many good days togehter and that is what i mind myself when i remember any time on her. every shepherd i see i match him wiht my mona,but every dog can´t win the match..it´s so hard when you lost your loven dog,i can imagine what you feel.

@butcher0672 know exactly how u feel, but i bet ur Sampson would want u to give another of his beautiful breed another chance. no dog will ever match Sampson, He/She will be different & individual, but will steal ur heart in a different but oh so familiar way! & u find yourself thinking, "when we know of all the heartache that"s instore, why do we always come back for more"! but life"s too short, u wont be betraying Sampson if u get another Rottie. a rescue rottie would prob be grieving 2.

AWESOME video. I am the proud owner/parent of two Rottweilers; they are, in my opinion, the greatest breed ever. Absolutely wonderful. Smart. Loyal. Loving. Protective. Tough as nails. Funny. Caring. Sensitive. Etc. This video shows how great they are; what a joy. Our female was acquired as a puppy, and our male was a rescue. They are awesome. I don't know what I would do without them. Rotties rule!!!!!

It is so calming to know that when I leave my family at home they are safe.
People get rotts and try to make them nasty for the image.
The more love you give, the more intensely they will protect you and yours. They are a natural guard dog and don't need beatings or being chained up to motivate them.
Keep your rotty in good spirits and the only people who need to worry about getting bitten are people who intend to do you harm

Were it not for a irresponsible breeder I would have my own rottie.
She ruined so much for me.
My chance of getting one at the moment is zero, until I move out (that is after I find a job) that was a one time oppurtunity and for the lack of organizing things she messed up.

GUYS there are two kinds of rottweilers! german ones and amreican ones. the german ones are the rottweilers who look scarier with big square heads. the american ones are the sweet looking ones with circular heads, not as scary as the ger man. examples: 0:27 is a german rottweiler. 2:32 is an american one, like mine!

I appreciate the idealism of freedom to own any breed of dog, but what about those IDIOT owners who want a potentially vicious breed because they want an attack dog, not knowing the full repercussions of their actions (eg babies killed by mauling). They're fucking morons and they waste it for the rest of us. I agree with the politicians, as they're taking direct preventative measures.
All dogs are capable of being loving family pets, but it's about the owner. Bad owner = Bad dog. Shame, really

Fuck the politicians. Pekes have killed babies. The lady with the 1st face transplant had her face torn off by a Labrador. My Rottie lived & died(cancer) without harming anyone. My neighbors kids loved that dog. It broke my heart to tell them that he couldnt come out to play with them anymore. They still have my Pit to pet. I wont let my onry old Lab mix near them unless Im right next to her.

I miss my Rottweiler so much. This breed is so loving and loyal and gentle. At least that's how we raised ours to be. And even though we trusted him with us 100%, I would still take care around strangers. Because they are so loyal to family, you need to be careful. ANY PET can bite if they feel threatened, but most likely won't if raised with kindness and love. They're NO DIFFERENT than other breeds. I know in my heart our rott wouldn't hurt a fly,but still took care around strangers anyway.

deejaycya. I know what you mean. Mine died 4/19 & I still miss him. My problem wasnt so much with watching him but watching what other ppl would try with him. When he was 2 I caught my old neighbors kid trying to hit him in the face with a stick through the fence. Trying to provoke him I guess. I chewed the brat out. My Rottie sat like a rock throughout the whole deal. I still almost wish I would have bred him to a good bitch despite his demodex when he was a pup

Excelentes Rottwaillers muy pero muy hermosos, yo tuve una asi pero lamentablemente le dieron bocado y murio en la noche le dieron una patada en el vientre y fue dañada sus bbs nacieron muy prematuros solo vivieron 9 horas de ahi murieron los 4 que nacieron llore desconsoladamente y poco a poco me recupere por la gran perdida..

i am a new owner to a rott.. i got him in september hes a purebred and i just wanna say that i give props to everyone tryin to protect such a beautiful, loyal, and affectionate animal..here in iowa there are a few bans on them but ill just move..when i first bought him my family said i couldnt bring him around but i did anywya and they all love him dearly. he loves kids and other dogs he is not aggressive at all! they are like ppl they turn out how they were raised.. thanks to all for the videos

I had a rottie and she died wen i was 7years old> i can honestly say that it was the worst day of my life! i am now 14 and my bedroom is still and shrine to her nearly 8years on and i will never ever forget her loyalty and love! i will never forget her face or her bark! rotties are truly the best to me and i love the breed so much! I can't really say I have a Rott because my dog is crossed between dobermann and rottweiler. Got her from a dog pound with two years. Damn, when I saw the dog and when the guy told me that they will kill it in one week because she was a crossed one and a female, so nobody wanted it, I bring her home without thinking twice.

My rottwiller Hooker, died on 1996, My childhood and adolesence was great because he was with me. He was very lovely, very smart... an I miss him too much since his died. Thanks to post this compilation and analysis, we need to care dogs and then they will care us. Rigth now I have a new Puppy (boxer: Hannah) The first one since his dead. He was MY Unique and unforgettable rottwiler,he was part of my family too.

Nice video, makes me think of my rottie named Chuy. The animal control broke into my backyard and took him away. By the time i got to the dog pound, they already murdered him. **There were reports of a loose dog in my neighborhood, but my Chuy slept in our house during the night and he was a 95 pound teddy bear, he wouldnt hurt a fly.

To all Rott owners, we know their true nature, regardless of the hype. Nothing in words can express what they can give. Other breeds can be 100%, but I believe the average Rott rates a minimum 102%.
As a side note, who's Rott does the "purr"? That sort of gurgle/growl/tongue hanging out thing when you do belly pets. Scared me the first time, as I thought mine wasn't liking the affection. I stopped, he liked my nose, we continued as he did opera. Now that is a silly Rott thing.

I've got a Rottie/Lab mix named Miles. He is about 105 lbs. and is a huge teddy bear. Everyone that has ever met him falls in love. Looks just like a Rottie with a tail and slightly longer snout. The ultimate mixed breed!
I absolutely love the breed. The best breed by far, imo.

Rottweilers don't deserve the bad rap that has been given to them. They (like some other breeds) are influenced by the people in their environment. Instability isn't always a result of poor breeding. Neurotic people have neurotic dogs,and that is a problem when their dog of choice is a large, protective breed
