If HK won't provide such a product themselves, why the hell do they care if someone else will? I love a lot of the HK weapons systems, but the company itself, and its view towards civilian sales really pisses me off. If they released a semi auto MP5 clone inside $1200, they wouldn't be able to build them fast enough! They are elitist pricks if you ask me.

H&K has a right to sue non-licensed firearm cloners. legitimate gun makers would buy the rights from H&K to build clones, "like MKEK of Turkey". nobody has the right to steal someone elses designs !

Of course HK had every right and every reason to do what they did. I am saying it's shitty that HK themselves doesn't make anything for the civilian market that doesn't cost a small fortune, and isn't fucked six ways from sunday to make them look as different from their military/LE counterparts as humanly possible. I love just about every firearm HK has ever put out, but as a company, I think they are elitist pricks that only cares about their government contracts.

The problem is HK got majorly screwed over by the American government. The AT-94K is a clone of the HK SP89, which is the civilian legal version of the MP5K. The SP89 was banned by presidential order in 93, and banned again by the assault weapons ban of 94. Even when that expired it was still banned by presidential order. This is the same case for a lot of their firearms, and even the exporting rules of Germany don't help in keeping costs down on the few that can ship.

That's so dumb. I don't understand why some of these absolutely ridiculous gun laws even exist, especially pointless trivial bullshit like 922(r) and import bans like these, which have prevented not a single crime from being committed. My AK would be illegal if an external piece of plastic that has absolutely NO effect whatsoever to the operation of the gun, did not say "made in the USA" on it thanks to the same people who banned HK imports.

These people arent far below with a very cheap and nasty looking copy made from tube,pressed plate,spotwelds,huge plastic parts(note the grey hue,denote cheap plastic)and a few pins,its certainly hasnt got the H&K quality look to it,they want $1550 for this,it cant have cost them more than $300 in Turkey,take a good look at it,it is not nice.
