Oh - and if you don't mind me asking, how long did this take from conception to final product? It's really well made - I love the 'old' segments too, very convincing!
Love the mega feeling in this. The image of the old lady and her young self have got themselves stuck in my head. (which is I guess what you want...). Congratulations.
Call me old-fashioned, but I think this is a little gem - well shot, intriguing, emotionally satisfying - but best of all the narrative is clearly expressed, so I know what it is about step by step - and that's not as easy as you might think - well done, guys.
I didn't think I was 'gonna like this 'n then I got to the end and real lump in throat stuff. Brilliant. Congratulations. (The expressions in the face of your actors-superb)...
Ha this makes me think of Yahoo Serious working on the apple farm in Young Einstein... Yeah that was a great film! But as always Dan you turn water to wine, amen brother.
Congrats Bren on this very touching production and the thought behind the gift of Newtons Cradle. Great to see the beautiful face of Nell Priddle, whom I'd heard so much about through you. A lady of 100 years of age with so much character and life in her is truly wonderful. I appreciate this all the more for having a father of 93 with so much spirit still in in him.
I thought I would respond to janeteholmes comment. An English actor, Simon Prebble, coined the name 'Newton's Cradle' in 1967 after Sir Isaac Newton, who was born in 1642 and is perhaps the most influential scientist that ever lived, having defined the laws of motion and universal gravitation, hence why Prebble named his cradle after Newton! Perpetual motion machines have been around since the middle ages with one of the earliest machines being invented in 1150.
