Galah's fly around Australia like pigeons, same goes for the crested cockatoo. I've only ever been in New South Wales and the ACT, so I'm not sure how much the birds differ across states, but here in the ACT they're not all that hard to find. Still gorgeous birds, just thought I'd mention that I see them on a daily basis xD

That would be the Rose-Breasted Cockatoo. their also called the Galah cockatoo. i would say anywhere from $1,500 to $2,000 in america

Here in Australia where rose breasted cockatoos (or galahs) are native, they go for about $80. Which to me is horrible, people buy them expecting to have a fun pet for 12 years, when in reality these birds can live to 80 and are incredibly intelligent. They need to be kept entertained and love attention. I have no idea how many of these birds (and humans) have gone insane due to the sales practices here.

Palm cockatoos exist in the wild in a very small habitat. They are rare and not well understood. I think if they are to be kept, they should be kept in zoos and breeding programmes, to ensure their survival. I really don't know how they are as pets, I have only ever seen one for sale here in Australia, and the asking price was $6000, and it wasn't a tame bird.
