@trailrider92 I had a worn out track with lost track clips which I replaced. This left the track extremenly unbalanced with vibration. But we made the trip and I had tow sleds so we rode. I kept it at/near 60-70 with steady throttle through twisty trails (Traverse City/Kalkaska loop). Yep: 21 MPGs.  Normal (gonzo) style results in 14-15 consistently.

i posted that befor ei saw that [part, but the FX Nytro isn't their most economical sled either, a V-Max 700 would get better fuel economy than that...

don't get me wrong i mean I have a skidoo myself but I rode with a guy who had a V-max 700 and we rode over 50 miles, and his gas gauge was only a needle width below full. That freaking thing was good on gas.If I recall correctly it took barely over a gallon to top the thing off..

I'll take a Direct-injected Light-stroke over a Heavy-Stroke. I alway wondered why in the world they would think that a heavier engine (4stroke) in a snowmobile was a technology breakthrough ?? I can understand to make the EPA happy, but with direct-injection that they almost had already, why bother adding another 100pounds to the average sled with a Heavy-stroke ?

4 strokes were cheaper before this skidoo came along because of oil. They're still a little cleaner and they said it was a breakthrough because of the power and RPM they got from the 4 cycle enignes.

i still like 2 strokes, but with this new ethanol fuel shit, I'd feel safer with a 4 stroke.

lol.. i got a 07 arctic cat f8 that almost not use oil at all. and i can drive muchhhh longer than 11miles lol.

and if you think arctic cat is so crap then you should watch all the Speedwerx movies at youtube. Chris Burandt got a M8 with boondocking turbo with 275 hp and weight 440 pounds! you need to search for a long time to find any ski doo that got that!!

I have one. Uses half gallon oil every 700 miles. Gas mileage about 14 miles per gal. Does start on one pull no matter what. Plus no smoke. Not a bad machine.

I have a ski doo, and one thing I've learned, is never, never, never believe a promotional video, put out by ski doo. Their claims are soooo far out there! Anyone who knows anything about sleds knows that these vids are b.s. I'm not saying that they're not good, but they're not as good as they claim.
