God, so many idiot kid gamers sitting in their basement talking like they have experience because they played COD. . . Do the world a favor and stop talking like you're a seal, please.
Its sad how hype people get for the airforce after watching this but heres a reality check less than .1% of the airforce do this and only 5% of the airforce flies so what does the rest of the 94.4% of airforce do? They sit in a chair at a computer and type word documents. Combat controllers are cool i give them that but i get to shoot people and kick in doors all day long and we have rangers and special forces so yeah.....HOOAH!!!!!!
USAF CCT's are some of the most highly trained and highly sought after Spec. Ops. in the DoD. they go through Air Traffic Controller school which is difficult by itself, but they also go through Dive School, HALO School, and SERE School...and thats just the Air Force side. Depending on which unit they get attached to they may attend other training school's in the Army or Marines! 'Respect' doesn't even begin to describe the admiration i have towards these guys and i used to be a TACP...
the pararescue and combat control teams are such a well kept secret of the air force. when i say well kept secret, most people dont know who they are and those who have heard of them dont know it is almost as hard as being a navy seal
@casf120 I saw a video about the PJs and damn, I had not heard of them until I started doing research on joining the AF Nat'l Guard. Very tough guys indeed. I personally think it's a lot harder to save (and pull them out of hostile zone) lives than take one.
@ARMA365 Dude, from a current defender to a future one, there isn't a whole lot to hooyah about in this career field, especially if you end up at a nuke base. Btw, it's HUA
@wienerdogs4eva Focus on your legs, back and shoulders, as well as your cardio. It is usually the bigger guys who wash out. Be mentally prepare and only focus on every challenge that comes you way at a time.

@casf120 What makes it "almost as hard?" Does Hell Week just put it above everything as far as spec ops training programs go?

In ALS we used to call these guys "Jedi Knights" because of their extensive training and varied skill sets.
