This is haunting music. My guess is that the composer took some of his inspiration from the music of Ralph Vaughan Williams's "Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis", written in 1910. There are lots of versions on Youtube for anyone interested in comparing them. Vaughan Williams based his piece on a hymn tune by Tudor composer Thomas Tallis, who featured as a minor character in the first series of "The Tudors".
i want to like jane but i loved anne so much more! so sad that jane was the only queen who got a proper burial. i wish anne had been the one to give henry a son
i love how they used this song for jane seymore and also, the last song of the series when Henry remenises on all his past times. It shows that Jane will always be a part of him :')
@thElementskater1 Indeed. I love Trevor's work with Jane's themes. Such a wonderful queen deserves the best music to match with such a beauty, and wasn't her theme the most beautiful on Season 3 soundtrack?
This is my favorite track of, I think, the entire serie... like someone wrote before its touching and breathtaking and so more when you remember the person of Jane Seymour in the serie, for me the best wife with Katherine of Aragon also... this song contains and evokes emotions of love, holiness, serenity, kindness ... Amazing!
So touching and breathtaking <3 In my opinion it was the best track to be used for Henry's flashback in the last episode ... because this song includes so much emotions 'specially love and sorrow.
And somehow I always cry while listening to this song ... thank you, Trevor Morris for this beautiful piece of music <3
long live...queen jane. <3 she did her duty, one no other wife of henry could. and did it with nmatchable grace and kindness.
