Well that's how they make such realistic characters in-game. In this case they are using the genuine actors that do the voices aswell.

@TONYMONTANA471 , @Jayli0 reason why they used model of desmond for both altair and ezio is because ubisoft wanted a man with mediteranium looks, and other man with capabilities to speak both arabic and italian accents. it would be weird if they would look completely different and also they wouldn't get so straight to the point, games would be much harder to get it in your head about main story and also about the truth.

You'll notice that Ezio has only a very small bit part in the film. Likewise, you'll note that Ezio gets his Hood, sword, and Hidden Blade from his father's hidden stash.

@ironian96 That's actually inaccurate. Altair modified the Hidden Blade design such that it wouldn't require amputations. Leonardo read about the modification when he decrypted the Codex pages Ezio brought him. Please note that Ezio DOES USE Giovanni's hidden blade throughout the entire series, once Leonardo repairs it for him.

One thing I will never understand about assassins creed altogether is that even though Altair, or ezio, or his dad are one of the only people wearing a white hood, carrying knives all over themselves, possibly missing a finger, and the guards actually kind of know why an assassin looks like among hundreds of other people, they still never notice that they're in the area until they make the kill.
