Theirs a "pseudo" hack for XP/vista with the expansion , freaking awesome !!!

After like 13 years i played it again, and with starcraft 2, this game feels horrible "hard" as you actual need to micro the shit out of your units (were sc2 works fine with "macro" , which doesnt really exist in this game at all).

Google with "Z95 for XP" you should find a download at filestube.

"1997" I'm 100% sure that description is wrong. There was a reboot version of this game called Z95. so... I'm pretty sure it was made way before 97.

I used to play this, still have the CD here somewhere. Hours and hours of fun, making huge armies and then zerg the fortress! I can still remember the quotes as if i played it yesterday, was a great game back then in my opinion.

The System is simple as fuck.. the game itself, hard knock live!! But it was awesome..

The Second Chapter "Steel Soldier" wasnt able to reach Zed the water..

I use DOSBOX to play Z on my XP, does anyone know how to change the game resolution?

don´t load the vesa drivers in the setup, start the game and set it to svga .. thats it ... almost, you need to increase the dosbox cycles to 20000+.

It doesn't work on XP.

You should run Z by DOSBOX on XP, and for Z95 on XP, there is a patch available. (by YoMommaNL i think)

Agreed, only managed to complete the final level once. And damn, that took a heroic effort. Best AI I've ever seen.

Yeah, the few final levels had to be done without a single mistake and it was quite frustrating replaying it so many times ;) I really liked the heavy tank and the mobile rocket launcher. When I saw them the first time, aah ;)

Mo. Missile Launcher taking out rock, that was impressive. Could hardly see anything for flying bits of debris. O'course, if you completed the level without loosing any territories then Brad & Allen started to sunbathe on your fort.

You could also try putting toughs in a APC =) works the same as the Mo. Missle.

And Brad & Allen aren't alwways on the fort, sometimes they are just random in the level.
