Let me give you a tip on the color blending.

In a separate instance of ms paint, size an image thats 100xanything or vise versa.

Draw a diagnal line from one corner to the other and fill one with color.

Go to stretch/skew and resize whichever is the size 100 and reduce it by 1%.

This will squeeze the colors together and give a blending effect.

You can get fancy with it too, using multiple colors and such.
