love Django.Iff you love this music and the whole Django experience then go to Samois in June.I promised myself i would go. It took 25 years to get there but i did.My dad was too old to go with me but i captured as much as i could for him.he introduced Django to me and his joy is mine also

I went to Samois for about 10 years running from 1991 onwards.
Search YouTube for 'kapitanswing' to see my other channel with stuff from Samois and other Django festivals. :-)

Django was burned on his left hand, which left him only the index and middle finger; he couldn't play with his ring and little finger anymore... did this stop him from being one of the legends of acoustic guitar players? no! he was outstanding with courage and passion. Way to go, django!

I used ot play this back in the late 60s - early 70s. I've always though that, spoken with a resonable french accent, it's the most beautifully named tune ever.
