Do anyone know who the man playing the violin solo is, or why he is dress differently the the rest of the irish guards? I just saw the show here at U of I and I really loved it. Thank So Much for posting the video!
@robxbff His name is Sgt John Hooper. He's wearing Regimental "Mess dress" as he didn't do any marching on the tour, just walked on for the violin pieces, so it's more comfortable to wear that uniform. It was a fabulous tour, very enjoyable, the American public were so good to us. Take care.
From the finale of the show when both bands are massed on stage. This is from the current USA 2010 tour of the Band of the Irish Guards and Pipes, Drums & Regimental Dancers of the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. The sound quality and picture is excellent. Please post more if you have any! I saw the arena version of the show in PA, and will now be seeing concert Hall stage version like this tonight. Great show and not to be missed!
