Elvis would probably have adopted this sound had he lived. Look what Dio did, transforming his sound in the 70s with Elf and afterwards. He started his career around the time Elvis did. Dio was smart enough to see the musical climate changing, acclimated himself to it and became very successful. It's an interesting thought to think, "What if Elvis had done the same?"
