I watched this anime under the name "Rumbling Hearts" that's why it was not familiar to me when I read the original title...Well, this song makes me at ease...It is comfortable, Plus, I love songs with the word "Waltz" is attached..XDD
this song is fucking amazing,i can listen to it 500 times a day. btw during the last episode, they showed that haruka just published a story book. below the stroy book they showed her name to be "murakumi haruka", isn't her name supposed to be suzumiya haruka? or did she get married or something.

Wow... I just finished watching this anime and I cried during almost every episode... Haruka was such a sweet girl... why do bad things have to happen to good people? Haruka didn't deserve any of that... I've been in Haruka's place before (except that I was never in a coma), I've never related to a character as much as I did to Haruka. This is one of the saddest animes that I have ever seen, but Haruka will always be a character that I will remember.

I don't like Mitsuki, not just because she "stole" Takayuki from Haruka. Mitsuki was very very selfish, extremely selfish even before Haruka's accident. What people don't really see (or maybe they do but don't care) is that Mitsuki took the chance when Haruka was out of the play. She liked Takayuki just as much as Haruka did, and even though she helped Haruka date him, she still got in the way as many times as she could. So when she saw Haruka out of the way, she obviously took the chance.

@alinchentbr don't get me wrong...i LOVE Rumbling Hearts, will be one of my all time favs probably for the rest of my life...but Clannad Afterstory...wow, that one is rough. If you haven't seen it, watch Clannad first, then move to Afterstory so you get the whole thing. I admit I had trouble getting through Afterstory just cause it was so incredibly sad...but, as much as i lost it, I couldn't turn it off. Rumbling is on par with Afterstory

This anime is one of the few romances I will watch over and over because of a few reasons, those reasons being that it involves a very serious tradgedy, followed by a realistic aftermath and a very realistic decision and outcome, no nonsense like what you would find in a shonen and not everyone is happy at the end just the way it should be.

This anime was moving! I love the twist, i really thought Takayuki was going to end up with Haruka, even though i didnt want them to. Mitsuki loved him for son long and set Haruka up with Takayuik knowing that she loved him.... Ahh Mitsuki deserved to have Takayuki in my opinion.
I believe there is a version with an alternate ending, where Takayuki ends up with Haruka, and a couple of episodes that go into the point of view of Haruka's sister and the points of view of the two waitresses that Takayuki works with.
Sorry but whats that all about stealing and etc... One of the things that i loved most in this anime was the reality of some things: he was alone, she was alone... why they couldnt fall in love? And even after the other girl awakes from her coma, why not continue? Thats how life is. Thats how grown up people lives, thinks feels, judges. And the decision of the coma girl to brake up with the guy was brilliant. Real. Normal. To let the infantile romantic feelings behind and move on. Great anime!
I just didn't like the fact that while Haruka was recovering in the hospital, he was pretending to be her boyfriend and kissing her while he was with Mitsuki. It's sad how everything bad has to happen to Haruka. The accident, getting her boyfriend stolen, and not knowing what day it is.
haruka was "Kawawa"...:( haruka was in accident then harukas friend mitski have capture the boys heart....mitski was very terable grrrr..... it so sad that in the end the boy choose mitski insted of haruku he said he would erase mitski dark heart sad... but im happy that haruka was succefully regain in the end hahaha i wanna watch it again
Warning to all guys that watch this! After watching this you may find yourself having the sudden urge to watch a sports network, work out, or buy duck tape, just to feel like a man again. Lots of hard drama. Other than that, it was great :-)

Haruka: well, im pretty sure u kno what SHE went through. but she got the wrong idea of mitsuki.
listen, im not rooting for mitsuki or haruka. i like them both and i like how they both had their own happiness in the end. this was a very sad and emotional anime, and i loved it. oh and i forgot to mention that both takayuki AND mitsuki gave up hope on haruka waking up.
after the car accident, mitsuki wasnt thinking, "yes! now this is my chance to be with him!" no. she was concerned about harka AND takayuki. she didnt want to see him through pain anymore. she confessed her feelings for him because she couldnt hold it in anymore, and she didnt think haruka would wake up from her coma, so she wasnt going to waste her life regretting not telling him. she never wanted to hurt haruka.
along the way, mitsuki developed a small crush on takayuki so when haruka started going out with him, she became a little bit jealous, and lonely. but she wanted to be happy 4 haruka. of course takayuki didnt kno anything about mitsuki's feelings and he thought they were just friends. being the nice person he is, he cares about all of his friends. thats why he bought mitsuki that ring (the reason why she kept it was because it was from the guy she likes.)
listen, they BOTH went through pain. do you think mitsuki liked backstabbing haruka? the answer is no. ive been in a situation like Mitsuki, and it sucks. here is the reasons for their "Pain"
Mitsuki: mitsuki wanted to "be there" 4 haruka, so she wanted to hook her up with the boy she likes, takayuki. it takes a long time for haruka to finally ask him, after a long while of friendship with him, shinji, and mitsuki...
yeah and besides Mitsuki didn't realize that she liked Takayuki before AFTER he started dating Haruka, Haruka lost 3 years of her life while her bestfriend backstabed her and went out with her boyfriend, so i dont really get why Mitsuki suffered so much AND she didnt seem to really care so much about haruka being in coma.

She didn't steal him. You can't steal someones heart. Truth is, the show portrays a very serious life decision fairly. His point in the show was fair, the person who loved Haruka was no longer the person he was, and the person he was was there because of Mitsuki.

I agree. Even though I was a little disappointed that they didn't get back together at first, I realized that wasn't very realistic at all. It was a standardized ideal. You know, two people getting back together after such a long time, and they live happily ever after. The standard fairy tale.
More often than not life just doesn't work that way, and that can be harsh and disappointing. However, it is realistic.
@ConCas52 she was in a coma for a very long time. there's only a certain amount of time anyone can wait, even if it's for someone they love as much as takayuki clearly loved Haruka. Afer an amount of time a person is bound to start to develop feelings for someone else. it's just human nature.

@ConCas52 I was actually pro-Haruka, since she has been portrayed to be a good person. An inspiration to those whose had a hard time letting go of someone so important to them (aka myself). But in Mitsuki's defense, she had no intention of stealing the guy. She stayed by his side while he was suffering from guilt and loneliness, but she did not take advantage of that. She was a friend to him. There have been hints that he was once interested in Mitsuki before dating Haruka.
@ConCas52 there was no theft...as much as it would hurt, i am sure Haruka would have wanted Takayuki to move on...he held on as long as he could and even after a year, he was a complete mess, but Mitsuki kept him afloat, practically saved his life. I am sure Mitsuki was conflicted, but as the story points out, just cause some one dies (or in this case almost) doesn't mean we all stop living. Mitsuki was his savior. Haruka was at first angry, but eventually let it going knowing this.
i also "enjoyed" it very much. and since you did so too, i recommend you to watch elfen lied. they are quite equal in their emotional side ;-) elfen lied made me even more sad
because of this wonderful song, i was able to write a story in two notebooks... i really love this song,just captivating, full of emotion...yet sad....
My Friend lent me this Anime series. I really enjoyed each episode. The ending was shocking but great. Saber Marionette J is a great series as well. think you might enjoy it just as much.

Fuck this show, I hated that backstabbing bitch Mitsuki. Im sure at one point i thought it was a pretty decent show until it started pissing me off to no end. To this day, there is no anime that i would not watch again except for this one.

haruka really suffered a lot. oh i was so sad for her when she woke up and found out everything. but i'm a bit happy about the ending. takayuki doesn't deserve haruka after going out with mitsuki anyways. takayuki and mitsuki fit each other. it's hard to be left behind and have no power to do anything about it.

Haruka: well, im pretty sure u kno what SHE went through. but she got the wrong idea of mitsuki.
listen, im not rooting for mitsuki or haruka. i like them both and i like how they both had their own happiness in the end. this was a very sad and emotional anime, and i loved it. oh and i forgot to mention that both takayuki AND mitsuki gave up hope on haruka waking up.

after the car accident, mitsuki wasnt thinking, "yes! now this is my chance to be with him!" no. she was concerned about harka AND takayuki. she didnt want to see him through pain anymore. she confessed her feelings for him because she couldnt hold it in anymore, and she didnt think haruka would wake up from her coma, so she wasnt going to waste her life regretting not telling him. she never wanted to hurt haruka.

along the way, mitsuki developed a small crush on takayuki so when haruka started going out with him, she became a little bit jealous, and lonely. but she wanted to be happy 4 haruka. of course takayuki didnt kno anything about mitsuki's feelings and he thought they were just friends. being the nice person he is, he cares about all of his friends. thats why he bought mitsuki that ring (the reason why she kept it was because it was from the guy she likes.)

Mitsuki: mitsuki wanted to "be there" 4 haruka, so she wanted to hook her up with the boy she likes, takayuki. it takes a long time for haruka to finally ask him, after a long while of friendship with him, shinji, and mitsuki...

yeah and besides Mitsuki didn't realize that she liked Takayuki before AFTER he started dating Haruka, Haruka lost 3 years of her life while her bestfriend backstabed her and went out with her boyfriend, so i dont really get why Mitsuki suffered so much AND she didnt seem to really care so much about haruka being in coma.

She didn't steal him. You can't steal someones heart. Truth is, the show portrays a very serious life decision fairly. His point in the show was fair, the person who loved Haruka was no longer the person he was, and the person he was was there because of Mitsuki.
I've been in a relationship in when my gf was terrified I would go back to an ex. This show was extremely familiar with that awkwardness.

I agree. Even though I was a little disappointed that they didn't get back together at first, I realized that wasn't very realistic at all. It was a standardized ideal. You know, two people getting back together after such a long time, and they live happily ever after. The standard fairy tale.
More often than not life just doesn't work that way, and that can be harsh and disappointing. However, it is realistic.
I like this anime for conveying that message.

@ConCas52 she was in a coma for a very long time. there's only a certain amount of time anyone can wait, even if it's for someone they love as much as takayuki clearly loved Haruka. Afer an amount of time a person is bound to start to develop feelings for someone else. it's just human nature.

@ConCas52 I was actually pro-Haruka, since she has been portrayed to be a good person. An inspiration to those whose had a hard time letting go of someone so important to them (aka myself). But in Mitsuki's defense, she had no intention of stealing the guy. She stayed by his side while he was suffering from guilt and loneliness, but she did not take advantage of that. She was a friend to him. There have been hints that he was once interested in Mitsuki before dating Haruka.

@ConCas52 there was no theft...as much as it would hurt, i am sure Haruka would have wanted Takayuki to move on...he held on as long as he could and even after a year, he was a complete mess, but Mitsuki kept him afloat, practically saved his life. I am sure Mitsuki was conflicted, but as the story points out, just cause some one dies (or in this case almost) doesn't mean we all stop living. Mitsuki was his savior. Haruka was at first angry, but eventually let it going knowing this.

I first liked her better, but that's only because of her reminding me of Sakura Kinomoto (Cardcaptor Sakura). So moe~ :3
Later on, when I got a more realistic view, I liked Mitsuki better. Then again, it's not really like one of them is better than the other.

My Friend lent me this Anime series. I really enjoyed each episode. The ending was shocking but great. Saber Marionette J is a great series as well. think you might enjoy it just as much.
