@kellymoo17 I saw both B and Charice live, and all I can say is that Charice was unbelievable! I respect B, but my ears will defer to Charice. This girl's voice is so melodic and powerful that she takes any song she covers to a new level. If WB every had the guts to cut a CD based on live recordings, that thing would be a best Seller cause her live is soooo much better than Studio. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for B. I prefer her studio over her live singing.

I actually think Beyonce's performance sounds better with Charice's voice in this song, than her own. This is a very interesting concept. I'd like to see more videos of this nature. This took an extreme amount of work, however without Charice's impeccable timing with regard to the original performances of Beyonce, it would have been a much more daunting task. It would be interesting to see Charice singing with Beyonce's voice just to see if it at all diminishes the performance.
As a sidenote, I've taken a few songs of Charice's and mixed them singing with the original artists. Her vocal imitation is right on que an almost exact representation of the original artist, to the point where I often became confused as to which particular artist I was listening to at any particular moment while trying to sync up the vocals.
This dubbed version is actually more intense than the original Beyonce song. Try to compare the two, you will find this more appealing in terms of emotion and beyonce's gestures.

Actually, it is the other way round. Charice sounds more mature and less nasal than Beyonce.
Sometimes Charice uses a nasal voice to hit high notes, similarly to the technique of Regine Velasquez, but not as pronounced.

Charice sings Beyonce and Whitney's songs WAY BETTER than Beyonce and Whitney themselves. Charice is PHENOMENAL! I don't know of anyone who sounds better and stronger than Charice. Her voice is beautiful and really powerful! FANTASTIC! Awesome job asia911!

@kukuv23 Amateur?-can't control voice?-that is a bit much considering that her talent has been endorsed by the likes of DF, Celine, Whitney, Bocelli, Groban, Lionel, JT, the list goes on.... She is beyond the amateur stage and any issues of voice control. If you prefer B, that is fine as I have many black and white friends who prefer Charice. Music at the end of the day is a preference.To judge someone as an amateur cause you do not like their voice, borders on the line of being prejudicial.

I actually think Beyonce's performance sounds better with Charice's voice in this song, than her own. This is a very interesting concept. I'd like to see more videos of this nature. This took an extreme amount of work, however without Charice's impeccable timing with regard to the original performances of Beyonce, it would have been a much more daunting task. It would be interesting to see Charice singing with Beyonce's voice just to see if it at all diminishes the performance.

As a sidenote, I've taken a few songs of Charice's and mixed them singing with the original artists. Her vocal imitation is right on que an almost exact representation of the original artist, to the point where I often became confused as to which particular artist I was listening to at any particular moment while trying to sync up the vocals.

This dubbed version is actually more intense than the original Beyonce song. Try to compare the two, you will find this more appealing in terms of emotion and beyonce's gestures.

I like the voice of Beyonce, but i love and admire the voice of Charice. From the moment it plays, i can immediately know by "heart"that Charice is singing. Charice did it live on Oprah after Oscar. And 2x on Italy. As usual standing ovation on audience and on stage every young singers are clapping and jumping enjoying listening to Charice perform the "Listen". You're simply amazing Charice. I'm sure this is not probably the intent but imagine how you would feel if someone dubbed charice with someone else (that will be tought act though).
