Joye eGo-Tank System XXL 1000mAh, my tank holds more like 4 ml of juice. I haven't had any problem with mine at all, I just blow it out at the end of the day. I took 2 with me to the casino, it's the first time I ever went to a casino without my cigs and lighter. One lasted about 9 hours before it began getting weak on vapor, so I switched to my backup. For me, the draw is easy and the taste is great. I use only VG juice since it was recommended to me by MyVaporStore when I ordered it. I love it

I bought the Ego T and it worked good for about maybe a 1 month...and I was not using it alot cause I drip at home (510 atty).. I wanted something easy to take on the road instead of bringing the bottle with me.. oh well drip on..!!! PS .. any good cartomizers you recommend ?
hey i got this thing a little while ago and was getting pretty annoyed but realizing the piercing part wasn't quite doing the job i took a tiny thin nail and repierced the cart more fully and now it works most excellent! just thought i would share for anyone else out there with problems with this thing, it just requires a little diy attention.
Thanks for letting me know. Surprised it is a Joyetech atty. Might get some SLB ones to try. I find it extremely difficult to find a decent working ego atomizer whichever make it is. Have you tried Vogue Tech ones? I got some coming next week. Fingers crossed!
I agree with what you say. However..is this an original Joyetech product? This is the big problem. There are 100s of ego-T on the market and i personally have tried 10s of them. The generic ones basically are very erratic, you get what you are talking, others leak like mad and many other flaws. Unless you have an original Joyetech or something from a very reputable company such as JSB or Vogue then forget it. So its not the ego-T that is the problem but who made it!
@vapourettes2020 They are made in China by the same company. Just re-branded by who ever sells them. You can even buy them directly from China for a lot cheaper.
can you recommend a company or website where i can get an ego type atty that actually works? i just recently got an ego t low resistance tank atty and it's as much use as tits on a fish. i am currently using ce3 carts and i am sick of drinking as much as i vape. i am a vaper from the uk btw
@fugggit hey. yeah. Im getting good quality attys direct from china. their type B attys are great (cylinder). I clean them occasionally with Isopropyl and usually bring back clogged or sour tasting ones easily. Golden rule obviously =- NEVER run an atty without priming it and I think these will go on forever. I've stopped stocking the Type A (cone) attys coz they seems a bit less rugged. check my website. adamizer.co.uk ive got black rubberised type B attys. getting steel ones this week

Thank you for your review, i was about to purchase an ego-t, since my 510T model works well for me, but i also thought about a less-priced regular eGO:kit wich comes with an extra atomiser and a free drip-tip. Now i know which one it is! Also I noticed a semi-negative comment about your intro, but personally, i think it adds a lot of amusement to your videos, and after watching many 10minute clips of people talking about e-cigs, your videos are refreshing. Keep it up!
I have been using the eGo Tank for about 5 months. I have been vaping for over 2 years and have tried the 901, 510, 801 and finally to my satisfaction a KR808 from Vapor for Life. That was my favorite until I got the tank. I agree the Tank system can have some issues, BUT it is a great device. Using it with the same liquid I get from V4L, I get as good or better vapor and throat hit, but I recommend the type B XL atty and cart.
Man, thanks for your experience, but.... I just got mine today and when I first vaped, I noticed a burnt taste, but this went away in about 30 minutes. I take lighter drags than I'm used to on my Joye stick V3 and get great throat hit and lots of vapor. I'm really happy with it.

now that i have tried this setup i am having the same exact problem. im vaping a delicious butter rum blend i made and this tank system just killed it. no flavor whats so ever. i've tried to twist, shake, give it the evil stare, the puppy eye pretty please stare and nothing, horrid to say the least.

I agree. I have the tornado tank basically the same thing. The tank atty sucks...no throat hit..bad draw. I just use 510 attys and drip its way better
The part 0:00 - 0:25 is just a waste of your and your followers' time. I saw that you are using a much sorter one in your recent videos which is way better.
Also, knowing that you are a musician as well as a vaper makes me like you more.
In my Experience, and IMO, I couldn't disagree more with this review. You must got a bad unit, because i LOVE my eGo-T. I switched from cartos to the Ego-T because of the better flavor...
I agree with you Grimm. The LR's are much better for flavour but I've found the performance of eGo-Tanks varies to much from attie to attie. I got in the habit of pulling the squib out (needle part) and re-aligning it for better draw but some atties always perform like sucking a Golf Ball through a straw! Last week I got a LR eGo-T A type and tried to pull the squib to re-align. Big Mistake! New wicking method has the wick loop through the coil. You can't thread it back into the squib :(
GrimmGreen you're always totally spot on. When it comes to honest reviews and just hearing a hobbyist talking about vaping, you da man. However, I wonder if your Ego-T just wasn't wicking correctly? I have the same model from Totally Wicked. I don't get the same issues you mention, great flavour and a really nice vape. Perhaps the draw is a little stiff, but otherwise I love my Tornado T. I do keep it maintained though, it needs a good clean between fills, blowing through the atomizer etc.
I just purchased the vaporking storm a rebrand of the ego T, this is my first ever e cig, can i use another atomizer like say the 510 or 910 with the storm battery do i need an adapter to make that work. thanks in advance
@ISAACMART1984 the Ego-T has a 510 connection so any 510 or 306 atty will work great, You would need an adapter for a 901, It has a different threading
flavor. after a day or two I tried it again and got two drops out. Since then all my flavors have been incredible!! Vapor production was never an issue and now...after allllllll that I must say I am very satisfied with my Ego-t. now if only they would make some bigger tanks.
testing and that liquid is still in there....hence the degradation of flavor. I removed the tank completely and vaped on that liquid to prove this statement true...it was like smoking air. it is the first thing to be heated on the atty and the most to be heated this is why you cannot taste much. I found that by taking the new atty and blowing on the battery plug in side A LOT of liquid dripped out. after a few min of blowing it out I wiped it clean and proceeded to vape... still not as much
I must say I love your videos grimm......but i disagree. I understand the initial air taste and flavor reduction. I am fortunate enough to have mypvape.com's warehouse in my home town. I recently bought a ego-t from randall. I love it...initially I was just as disappointed as you. My flavors were just not coming out like on my 808 (new to vaping a 808 is my first PV i ever had) I had remembered that randall told me that Joye puts a bunch of 0mg flavorless liquid in the atty for quality check
I received my eGo-T today and I tell ya, every single thing Grimm says about it is absolutely true! It's SHIT! I wish I've had come across this video before being swindled to buy this piece of crap! eGO-T FAIL!
The flavor is way better if you remove the insert from the mouthpiece of the tank (the thing with the hole at the very tip of the mouthpiece). You can easily get it out with a sewing needle. Now, my tanks had two inserts like that, but I'm not sure if all tanks have two. Basically, remove anything that has a small, central hole in it. Once I got rid of them, the flavor went from being barely there to being pretty darn good. And I started getting even more vapor.
I had my ego-T for a few months now, and I'm having different feelings than yours. May Just be yours, but mine hits hard. This meaning i get good vapor and can taste my juice amazingly just from small puffs. I switched battery's to a 1000mah, because i vape a lot. I been using the same atomizer since i got it and still works good. I found also if you take a needle and push the wick down or up depending what works, you'll notice a great difference. Hope I could help out!
well i havnt tried the ego tanks and im not about to i use at this point no attys anymore i just use the dual coil cortos or the LR cartos from madvapes and im very satisfied and i get atleast 2 weeks of GREAT usage before i start to get any stiff draws, im stuck on those unless i see somthing totally different that looks any good and by the way i get about 3 hours off the dual coil cartos off one fill atleast if not more, dripping for me became a chore and i only use them for trying out flavors
I have to vehemently disagree with your review. I have the eGo-T(A) and am thoroughly impressed with the vapor output and hit. Even your own video shows an awesome vapor output. I'm STILL working on the original atomizers included with the starter kit after vaping 250ml. I am using the 1100ma batteries and MarBro Menthol e-liquid with standard clear tank with soft gaskets. I upgraded from the 510 and have never looked back. Got mine from myfreedomsmokes

I am very happy with my EGO-Tank vapor production is much more then what I seen from you but then again I am using from Bestecig and there tank attys have a better wick system IMO I tried the one you have and it only lasted 2 weeks after a week the wick fell through the plate then the coil a week later just blew out but the ones from best ecig are much better IMO The flavor and the ego 510 attys I find kill the flavor of the juice but I do agree that the eg0-510 atty does produce more vapor
the reg attys I am constantly having to drip into the cartridge where as my EGO-T I can vape for a few hours sometimes half a day without having to fill or drip.I wonder if you have a couple bad atty's cause my EGO-T Produces great vapor.Another thing is you can play with the airflow the tanks have vents if you look very close the indent on the sides of the tanks are airvents if you need more air take a pin and just spread it open a bit if you need less air you can plug one side or
Close the vent a bit but in any case I also find that the tanks attys are not found of pure VG Liquid I find after a few days of vaping pure VG they clog and need constant cleaning and maintenance untill I tried alcohol.I now soak my attys when performance drops I soak in alcohol for an hour or so then sit them out to dry the longer the soak the longer the dry time or else you will get an awful alcohol taste but once dried long enough they perform like new again that's all I have for now.
have you tried totally wickeds tank system? ive known people who had the ego-t before and said it was shit then i showed them mine from totally wicked and bought it and loved it, if you havent tried that one do it. ive been happy with mine for about 7 months
I have 6 Tornado Mega 2ml Tank Attys and they are all a complete unmitigated failure. The pull is hard, the damn things do not last long before you get dry burnt shitty hits. The flavor is lacking and its a bitch to attempt to clean or fix. The wick is too fragile and easily burnt. I switched to XL CE2 Clearomizers because of this video and your other video. I LOVE the XL CE2 Clearomizers. They have an easy draw, warm prodigious vapor production with incredible taste, & they are cheap.
Man, i have to say, i just recently got my Ego-T Heavy Atty system. And honestly its the most refined and best ecig ive used thus far. Ive used Mods and normal ecigs.
one of your issues ive noticed in this review is that you believe that the tank system is based on gravity thus by shaking the cig around it will add more liquid to the wick. the system works on airflow, thus to prime the wick you need to pull on the cig with out lighting the atty. Anyways try it again.
I've been using the T for about 3 months with no problems at all. Feeds well, no leakage, flavours ok and the draw isnt much different to other 510 atties. Yes, the newer LR's are even better but the originals are fine IMHO. I've used 5 different T atties now and they've been very consistent. Basically, I've now retired my assortment of cartos and the only other attie I use it a 306 LR when I feel like dripping.

And then again at 7.16 wow what a non-reaction. Mine is fantastic and no issues. Go suck a golf ball through a hose!
Glad to have found your video because I'm totally new to vaping and got way less vapor production out of this thing than you managed to. "It's like sucking a golf ball out of a garden hose" hits it right on the nose! I liked the easy idea of not having to drip and all that because I'm new to vaping, but this thing gave me a horrible first impression. No vapor and no flavor. I'm gonna try something else. thanks for the video-glad to have found someone who has had the same issue as I have.

Well that was depressing, I am an avid cigar smoker and was going to make the ego t my first PV and eventually advance to the provari with ego T adapter. After watching this review I'm back at square 1. Got any suggestions, I want something that requires little intervention while gaping, no dripping and last an hour or so with frequent drags. I'm attracted to the idea of a tank or juice feed system
One question. If I buy a non-tank EGO and I buy only prefilled cartomizers or carts, will I need to drip juice onto the atomizer or the cart at all, or will the prefills last enough? It is really for my bro-in law as he wants easy as pie usage. So can he just replace cartomizers and batteries with no maintenance or dripping?
@tonythetiger122 The prefilled cartoz should last maybe a few hours, and a pre filled traditional cart might last you 10 - 15 drags before it will need to be topped off.
I just received my new eGo-T Tank LR atty today, I seem to be having the same problems as you, it tastes almost like air, like you said. There's little to no throat hit, but it is wicking pretty well, I'm using a combination of VG and PG juice. Were you using a standard or a LR? I'm not sure if it's because it is brand new or what.
I bought the tank atomizer and some of these tanks for my ePower eGo clone. I had all the same issues. My biggest problem was getting the juice down to the atomizer. I tried all kinds of things: trimming the filler, moving the tank in and out of the attty, using thinner juice. Getting a good hit usually meant leaking juice all over. I love the ePower device. This tank system is not for me. Wish I had seen this video prior to shelling out the dough for these tanks.
Thank you for this review. I went into a shop where I was sold on the Ego-T as my first vaporizer. Ever since I left the store I haven't been satisfied. You're right, it's like sucking on a pencil but I didn't know any better. I just assumed that's how these things worked. Over time it got less and less satisfying. I spend all day cleaning the damn thing because it won't stop leaking and somehow it eats all the damn juice from the "tank" in like 2 hours. Now I know I didn't get a faulty one.
Great review, just saved me 50 bucks. What you said about Atomizers rings home very true for my joye 510, with regard to the occasional dud vs a good atty.
I'm wondering from your experiences, what's been the best combination of atomizer, battery, system, whatever. What is it that you recommend more over anything else. I'm curious because I'm pretty much disgruntled with my 510 and know there must be something out there by now that I could use.

just got one ....not satisfied. It leaks and keeps going out on me even tho its fully charged. Plus if you get the liquid on accident in your mouth it makes your tongue go numb bleh.

I keep having trouble with my ego t and went and also got a 510 tank and found that the 510 t has been a little more reliable. My friend has a ego t with no problems with vapor but I have a tough time drawing and getting good smoke leaving me sucking on it many times. To me the ego t started out strong but diminished quickly which probably meant it needs constant cleaning where I've burned out a couple. A trick I was using to get better draw was leaving the atty and battery a little loose.
i don't get you guy... i've been vaping on an ego510, loved it, but got my tank today, and it's FANTASTIC. vapor for days, too much maybe? vape away for hours and hours with no fuss. maybe you got a non-genuine joye ego-T atty. i bought one of each- the non-genuine was a few bucks cheaper so i'm going to try both, the genuine is fantastic. i just put all my carts and fillers and mods and tweezers and long pin and all that crap away. one thing- the flavor is a lil muted true that.
Your right, I found it does the same thing. I took the cap off the t tank , and put a small piece of a filter in, just enough to stop the liquid from leaking out.. And use the regular atomizer.
I just got an Ego-T and have been terribly disappointed in it compared to my 5v mod. The draw, flavor, and vapor production is pretty bad by comparison.
Thanks for the video,I have been vaping on a Joye 510 and have 12 days without smoking an analog..The only downside to the 510 is the battery life which is why i have been thinking about getting an ego but wasn't sure whether i should get the ego t or the regular one,This video has helped me make my decision.
It helps if you put in the tank correctly (lining it up so that you can get a better draw). ;) I'm new to vaping as well and I've been watching lot of different review to maximize the use of the Ego-T. Also if you remove the middle condensation blocker than that will increase your vapor production (per NicFitNation) and also if you get a lot of condensation just clean it out with some tissue. Of course there is the LR atty now as well (which I know you said you'd do a follow up on). :)
My sentiments exactly. You explained the T to a T. I've been using it for a month or so (and have been vaping for two years or so), and thought I was just getting tired of vaping or something. The concept is great, but in reality, it's kind of a dud.
I have been using the Ego T since they first came out... great flavor great vape great throat hit.. I get tons more vape than I see you getting... maybe a bad atty you have? You might want to re-think your atty... your knit hat.. your teenybopper Britney Spears poster... and keep dicking around and drip till your drop pal.
Awesome review yet again grimm love your vids they have help out tremendously in my battle against cigs. I also would recommend trying out the LR attys for the ego t helps with vapor, throat hit, and flavor. I think they are like 12 bucks on most sites. I personally am lovin my ego t hopefully the LR atty will make you a somewhat believer and give you a more enjoyable vape.

Its getting warmer and the prodigy is large to deal with. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on why I keep popping attys. In your opinion what brand attys work best. for hv devises thanks
when you think of it...wouldn't the actual vapor have to travel back through the liquid before it gets to you? may be why you get no real flavor...i don't know
i have been using lots of e cigar.alsmost all type, i got my ego-t,its the best products... it does not have burning of the cotton,buring atomiser is because u are a total freak.go wash or dip it hot water and dry it than u used it....dont post something that u are not a pro.wahahaha
I just got my Ego-T 2 days ago and I was experiencing the same flaw but decided to look at the aty a lil' closer. I noticed that the spike that punctures the cartridge does not completely opens the cap end thus preventing full flow of the eliquid into the atty. I found it necessary to manually push that tiny plastic tap the spike punctures completely out of the way. Now the thing is like WOW! I can't comment on the units overall longevity since I just got it, but so far I’m very pleased.
Hey Grimm, I totally have the same problem. Hard draw and a small amount of burnt tasting vapor. I even picked up a LR one and get the same thing after a couple of weeks on it. I think it's just a design flaw or something, I wouldn't recommend even trying a LR-T atomizer. Thanks for the review, at least I'm not the only one. Pete.
I prefer this to constant dripping, if you hold the button down for a second before you hit it you may get a more productive blast from the atomizer, just a thought.
Three days ago I received the new eGo T atomizer, tanks, and some silicone end caps as per nicfitnations video response below. Over the last 3 days I have tried a variety of liquids including 100% VG. I started using an eGo Pass Through 2 weeks ago upgrading from the 510 bats.
I have to say this is a very decent combination. Flavor and vapor is really good. The draw is stiff but I found that loosening the atomizer 1/16th of a turn improves the draw to a perfect level. Try this system. Cheers!

I cut open the 2nd one to check out the design. I left the pieces of Tank Atty #2 and the 1st one in a box at one of my work stations and it sat there wicking for about 2 months.... when I picked it up and took a hit it was the one and only satisfying hit I have ever taken from an eGo-T.

Well I'm completely new to vaping, trying to stop smoking cigarettes and went with the Ego-T as it just seemed the easiest, low fuss, no dripping etc. The amount and variety of things out there is very daunting when you don't know your asshole from your elbow in regards to vape.
Anywho, I find it works sweet as...yes, the draw is a little tough, but gives me a good hit and flavour is there...haven't had a smoke for 3 weeks so no complaints from me.

@Djpetegordon I'll second this since I'm in the same position as you and had the same experience as you... this being my 20th day. The atty's don't work as well as they used to, though I'm yet to try cleaning them. It sounds like Grimm just has some flooded atty issues or wick issues. You can get LR's for the eGo-T and also a larger tank of about 2ml with a type B setup so instead of the cone atomizer its a tube and apparently is significant improvement. I think its an 8/10 and a great start.
Just got the tank. Taste is definitely lacking, vapor was good enough for me. I was wondering if I should pull off the little tab that is left over after the spike punches the hole. I am sick of dripping and burning up my attys. Is there anything better that is portable and does not require all the drippage. Tried the huge carto but that tasted like burnt ass. BTW 1:04 had my rollin.
Man, I love your reviews. Currently my favorite reviewer, hands-down. This video reflects my experiences with the eGo-T precisely. Maybe they'll improve the next gen, but I think I'll be putting away this system for now. Gonna try the 510 cartomizers... hopefully not so stiff on the draw. Meantime, back to dripping. Nice shirt!
mister grimgreen... like the video but i have to say that the ego-t has not disappointed me but impressed me. im sure that the atomizer u got was probably not as good as mine but i have to say that my atty has treated me soooooo well... im actually waiting for another shipment from altsmoke for one. I have to say that it works well with my ego and my 6v mod.... im actually switching from regular attys to the ego-t atty... im in love with my model.
Because I saw your vid after I bought one, paid for it, got it in the mail and sat here hooking it up. Meanwhile reading more reviews and tips on how to use it.
Then as i was watching your vid I was taking my first draws off the Tank. I noticed it ... not performing awesome. Tasting like ass. And nothing I tried was improving it.
I've gone through 4 of these tanks from TW (Tornado Tank). I currently have 9 more on order, because I got a very different experience that Grimm. It's by far the most satisfying system I've used. I find that when it runs it consistently provides a satisfying vapor and draw not unlike the 510. My main attraction to it is that it doesn't leak all over, but otherwise it's much like a 510. One had a little slow wicking, but the GENERAL problem, IMO, is quality. Attys in general vary too much.
I'm with you on that, tough draw, hardly any taste. I never found the burnt taste tough. I have however had a major issue with leaking where I lost tons of juice no matter what tank I use. Also the wick always darkens my juice in the tank no matter what I use and I tried cleaning it over and over in vodka. T-Tank is FAIL to me too! Good video!
Loved my 1st one from cloudsofvapor (see review on my page) Got 5 from a different company who is also a good and reputable company cause they had them in stock. They sucked... went thru 3 of 5 them before I realized they all just sucked. Then I got 3 LR eGoT attys from cignot... and I am in heaven again. I commented earlier that my ego-T had no taste whatsoever. I don't have any draw issues on mine. My draw is equal to a regular 510. I just go my low res ego-t atomizer in the mail and it makes a WORLD of difference all round. If you haven't completely wrote off the ego-t you should give it a whirl with the low res atomizer. hard to calculate down draft forces with no regulation of air regulation to the point of vaporizing.tried this last year diy,never had luck.ha i spit water out ,i was reading and youre choice of words was funny as fuck haha.im gonna pass on these.
The Joye 510 Tank died after ten days. It came out of the box with a harsh chemical taste. It required constant coaxing and dripping to get it to work. It muted the flavors of any juice I put in it and added it's own unappealing flavor. It gave a stiff, torturous draw with a plastic taste. It started to work a little better by flooding it with juice. But overflooding killed it after a couple of days. Wretched product, great You Tube review.
I agree 100% ...Air is exactly what I taste. Nothing. The Concept behind the tank is clever but it doesn't hold up against the lr and even regular 510's. The draw is hard and if I close my eyes when I vape, I can't even tell if I am getting vapor. This video said it all....Glad I'm not alone.

By your description it seems that your wick is not sitting on the coil. 10 days into mine and I love it mind you I had to give the atty an alcohol soak last night (100% VG juice) and all is fine this morning vaping like new. Outside of the primer they use, I am happy with it, then again I like a tighter draw.
I've just stuck with filler carts. The ceramic cartomizers don't wick, and the modded carts/attys are too expensive for disposable parts. My V4L Premium filler-cartos last upwards of 2 weeks and only cost 10 bux for a box of 5, or less if I get one of the (hundreds of) deals V4L is running at any given time

Joye eGo-Tank System XXL 1000mAh, my tank holds more like 4 ml of juice. I haven't had any problem with mine at all, I just blow it out at the end of the day. I took 2 with me to the casino, it's the first time I ever went to a casino without my cigs and lighter. One lasted about 9 hours before it began getting weak on vapor, so I switched to my backup. For me, the draw is easy and the taste is great. I use only VG juice since it was recommended to me by MyVaporStore when I ordered it. I love it

hey i got this thing a little while ago and was getting pretty annoyed but realizing the piercing part wasn't quite doing the job i took a tiny thin nail and repierced the cart more fully and now it works most excellent! just thought i would share for anyone else out there with problems with this thing, it just requires a little diy attention.

Thanks for letting me know. Surprised it is a Joyetech atty. Might get some SLB ones to try. I find it extremely difficult to find a decent working ego atomizer whichever make it is. Have you tried Vogue Tech ones? I got some coming next week. Fingers crossed!

I agree with what you say. However..is this an original Joyetech product? This is the big problem. There are 100s of ego-T on the market and i personally have tried 10s of them. The generic ones basically are very erratic, you get what you are talking, others leak like mad and many other flaws. Unless you have an original Joyetech or something from a very reputable company such as JSB or Vogue then forget it. So its not the ego-T that is the problem but who made it!

I clean them occasionally with Isopropyl and usually bring back clogged or sour tasting ones easily. Golden rule obviously =- NEVER run an atty without priming it and I think these will go on forever. I have been using the eGo Tank for about 5 months. I have been vaping for over 2 years and have tried the 901, 510, 801 and finally to my satisfaction a KR808 from Vapor for Life. That was my favorite until I got the tank. I agree the Tank system can have some issues, BUT it is a great device. Using it with the same liquid I get from V4L, I get as good or better vapor and throat hit, but I recommend the type B XL atty and cart.

Man, thanks for your experience, but.... I just got mine today and when I first vaped, I noticed a burnt taste, but this went away in about 30 minutes. I take lighter drags than I'm used to on my Joye stick V3 and get great throat hit and lots of vapor. I'm really happy with it.

now that i have tried this setup i am having the same exact problem. im vaping a delicious butter rum blend i made and this tank system just killed it. no flavor whats so ever. i've tried to twist, shake, give it the evil stare, the puppy eye pretty please stare and nothing, horrid to say the least.

I agree with you Grimm. The LR's are much better for flavour but I've found the performance of eGo-Tanks varies to much from attie to attie. I got in the habit of pulling the squib out (needle part) and re-aligning it for better draw but some atties always perform like sucking a Golf Ball through a straw! Last week I got a LR eGo-T A type and tried to pull the squib to re-align. Big Mistake! New wicking method has the wick loop through the coil. You can't thread it back into the squib :(

GrimmGreen you're always totally spot on. When it comes to honest reviews and just hearing a hobbyist talking about vaping, you da man. However, I wonder if your Ego-T just wasn't wicking correctly? I have the same model from Totally Wicked. I don't get the same issues you mention, great flavour and a really nice vape. Perhaps the draw is a little stiff, but otherwise I love my Tornado T. I do keep it maintained though, it needs a good clean between fills, blowing through the atomizer etc.

testing and that liquid is still in there....hence the degradation of flavor. I removed the tank completely and vaped on that liquid to prove this statement true...it was like smoking air. it is the first thing to be heated on the atty and the most to be heated this is why you cannot taste much. I found that by taking the new atty and blowing on the battery plug in side A LOT of liquid dripped out. after a few min of blowing it out I wiped it clean and proceeded to vape... still not as much

I recently bought a ego-t from randall. I love it...initially I was just as disappointed as you. My flavors were just not coming out like on my 808 (new to vaping a 808 is my first PV i ever had) I had remembered that randall told me that Joye puts a bunch of 0mg flavorless liquid in the atty for quality check

The flavor is way better if you remove the insert from the mouthpiece of the tank (the thing with the hole at the very tip of the mouthpiece). You can easily get it out with a sewing needle. Now, my tanks had two inserts like that, but I'm not sure if all tanks have two. Basically, remove anything that has a small, central hole in it. Once I got rid of them, the flavor went from being barely there to being pretty darn good. And I started getting even more vapor.

I had my ego-T for a few months now, and I'm having different feelings than yours. May Just be yours, but mine hits hard. This meaning i get good vapor and can taste my juice amazingly just from small puffs. I switched battery's to a 1000mah, because i vape a lot. I been using the same atomizer since i got it and still works good. I found also if you take a needle and push the wick down or up depending what works, you'll notice a great difference. well i havnt tried the ego tanks and im not about to i use at this point no attys anymore i just use the dual coil cortos or the LR cartos from madvapes and im very satisfied and i get atleast 2 weeks of GREAT usage before i start to get any stiff draws, im stuck on those unless i see somthing totally different that looks any good and by the way i get about 3 hours off the dual coil cartos off one fill atleast if not more, dripping for me became a chore and i only use them for trying out flavors

I have to vehemently disagree with your review. I have the eGo-T(A) and am thoroughly impressed with the vapor output and hit. Even your own video shows an awesome vapor output. I'm STILL working on the original atomizers included with the starter kit after vaping 250ml. I am using the 1100ma batteries and MarBro Menthol e-liquid with standard clear tank with soft gaskets. I upgraded from the 510 and have never looked back. Got mine from myfreedomsmokes

I am very happy with my EGO-Tank vapor production is much more then what I seen from you but then again I am using from Bestecig and there tank attys have a better wick system IMO I tried the one you have and it only lasted 2 weeks after a week the wick fell through the plate then the coil a week later just blew out but the ones from best ecig are much better IMO The flavor and the ego 510 attys I find kill the flavor of the juice but I do agree that the eg0-510 atty does produce more vapor

Close the vent a bit but in any case I also find that the tanks attys are not found of pure VG Liquid I find after a few days of vaping pure VG they clog and need constant cleaning and maintenance untill I tried alcohol.I now soak my attys when performance drops I soak in alcohol for an hour or so then sit them out to dry the longer the soak the longer the dry time or else you will get an awful alcohol taste but once dried long enough they perform like new again that's all I have for now.

I have 6 Tornado Mega 2ml Tank Attys and they are all a complete unmitigated failure. The pull is hard, the damn things do not last long before you get dry burnt shitty hits. The flavor is lacking and its a bitch to attempt to clean or fix. The wick is too fragile and easily burnt. I switched to XL CE2 Clearomizers because of this video and your other video. I LOVE the XL CE2 Clearomizers. They have an easy draw, warm prodigious vapor production with incredible taste, & they are cheap.

Man, i have to say, i just recently got my Ego-T Heavy Atty system. And honestly its the most refined and best ecig ive used thus far. Ive used Mods and normal ecigs.
one of your issues ive noticed in this review is that you believe that the tank system is based on gravity thus by shaking the cig around it will add more liquid to the wick. the system works on airflow, thus to prime the wick you need to pull on the cig with out lighting the atty. Anyways try it again.

I've been using the T for about 3 months with no problems at all. Feeds well, no leakage, flavours ok and the draw isnt much different to other 510 atties. Yes, the newer LR's are even better but the originals are fine IMHO. I've used 5 different T atties now and they've been very consistent. Basically, I've now retired my assortment of cartos and the only other attie I use it a 306 LR when I feel like dripping.

Well that was depressing, I am an avid cigar smoker and was going to make the ego t my first PV and eventually advance to the provari with ego T adapter. After watching this review I'm back at square 1. Got any suggestions, I want something that requires little intervention while gaping, no dripping and last an hour or so with frequent drags. I just received my new eGo-T Tank LR atty today, I seem to be having the same problems as you, it tastes almost like air, like you said. There's little to no throat hit, but it is wicking pretty well, I'm using a combination of VG and PG juice. Were you using a standard or a LR? I'm not sure if it's because it is brand new or what.

I bought the tank atomizer and some of these tanks for my ePower eGo clone. I had all the same issues. My biggest problem was getting the juice down to the atomizer. I tried all kinds of things: trimming the filler, moving the tank in and out of the attty, using thinner juice. Getting a good hit usually meant leaking juice all over. I love the ePower device. This tank system is not for me. Wish I had seen this video prior to shelling out the dough for these tanks.

Thank you for this review. I went into a shop where I was sold on the Ego-T as my first vaporizer. Ever since I left the store I haven't been satisfied. You're right, it's like sucking on a pencil but I didn't know any better. I just assumed that's how these things worked. Over time it got less and less satisfying. I spend all day cleaning the damn thing because it won't stop leaking and somehow it eats all the damn juice from the "tank" in like 2 hours. Now I know I didn't get a faulty one.

I keep having trouble with my ego t and went and also got a 510 tank and found that the 510 t has been a little more reliable. My friend has a ego t with no problems with vapor but I have a tough time drawing and getting good smoke leaving me sucking on it many times. To me the ego t started out strong but diminished quickly which probably meant it needs constant cleaning where I've burned out a couple. A trick I was using to get better draw was leaving the atty and battery a little loose.

i don't get you guy... i've been vaping on an ego510, loved it, but got my tank today, and it's FANTASTIC. vapor for days, too much maybe? vape away for hours and hours with no fuss. maybe you got a non-genuine joye ego-T atty. i bought one of each- the non-genuine was a few bucks cheaper so i'm going to try both, the genuine is fantastic. i just put all my carts and fillers and mods and tweezers and long pin and all that crap away. one thing- the flavor is a lil muted true that.

Your right, I found it does the same thing. I took the cap off the t tank , and put a small piece of a filter in, just enough to stop the liquid from leaking out.. And use the regular atomizer.

I just got an Ego-T and have been terribly disappointed in it compared to my 5v mod. The draw, flavor, and vapor production is pretty bad by comparison.

Thanks for the video,I have been vaping on a Joye 510 and have 12 days without smoking an analog..The only downside to the 510 is the battery life which is why i have been thinking about getting an ego but wasn't sure whether i should get the ego t or the regular one,This video has helped me make my decision.

It helps if you put in the tank correctly (lining it up so that you can get a better draw). ;) I'm new to vaping as well and I've been watching lot of different review to maximize the use of the Ego-T. Also if you remove the middle condensation blocker than that will increase your vapor production (per NicFitNation) and also if you get a lot of condensation just clean it out with some tissue. Of course there is the LR atty now as well (which I know you said you'd do a follow up on). :)

My sentiments exactly. You explained the T to a T. I've been using it for a month or so (and have been vaping for two years or so), and thought I was just getting tired of vaping or something. The concept is great, but in reality, it's kind of a dud.

Awesome review yet again grimm love your vids they have help out tremendously in my battle against cigs. I also would recommend trying out the LR attys for the ego t helps with vapor, throat hit, and flavor. I think they are like 12 bucks on most sites. I personally am lovin my ego t hopefully the LR atty will make you a somewhat believer and give you a more enjoyable vape.

i have been using lots of e cigar.alsmost all type, i got my ego-t,its the best products... it does not have burning of the cotton,buring atomiser is because u are a total freak.go wash or dip it hot water and dry it than u used it....dont post something that u are not a pro.wahahaha

I just got my Ego-T 2 days ago and I was experiencing the same flaw but decided to look at the aty a lil' closer. I noticed that the spike that punctures the cartridge does not completely opens the cap end thus preventing full flow of the eliquid into the atty. I found it necessary to manually push that tiny plastic tap the spike punctures completely out of the way. Now the thing is like WOW! I can't comment on the units overall longevity since I just got it, but so far I’m very pleased.

You get a much better draw from the Ego T if you pop off the two caps on the mouth piece. It works wonderfully for me.

Hey Grimm, I totally have the same problem. Hard draw and a small amount of burnt tasting vapor. I even picked up a LR one and get the same thing after a couple of weeks on it. I think it's just a design flaw or something, I wouldn't recommend even trying a LR-T atomizer. Thanks for the review, at least I'm not the only one. Pete.

I prefer this to constant dripping, if you hold the button down for a second before you hit it you may get a more productive blast from the atomizer, just a thought.

Three days ago I received the new eGo T atomizer, tanks, and some silicone end caps as per nicfitnations video response below. Over the last 3 days I have tried a variety of liquids including 100% VG. I started using an eGo Pass Through 2 weeks ago upgrading from the 510 bats.
I have to say this is a very decent combination. Flavor and vapor is really good. The draw is stiff but I found that loosening the atomizer 1/16th of a turn improves the draw to a perfect level. Try this system. Cheers!

Well I'm completely new to vaping, trying to stop smoking cigarettes and went with the Ego-T as it just seemed the easiest, low fuss, no dripping etc. The amount and variety of things out there is very daunting when you don't know your asshole from your elbow in regards to vape.
Anywho, I find it works sweet as...yes, the draw is a little tough, but gives me a good hit and flavour is there...haven't had a smoke for 3 weeks so no complaints from me.

@Djpetegordon I'll second this since I'm in the same position as you and had the same experience as you... this being my 20th day. The atty's don't work as well as they used to, though I'm yet to try cleaning them. It sounds like Grimm just has some flooded atty issues or wick issues. You can get LR's for the eGo-T and also a larger tank of about 2ml with a type B setup so instead of the cone atomizer its a tube and apparently is significant improvement. I think its an 8/10 and a great start.

Just got the tank. Taste is definitely lacking, vapor was good enough for me. I was wondering if I should pull off the little tab that is left over after the spike punches the hole. I am sick of dripping and burning up my attys. Is there anything better that is portable and does not require all the drippage. Tried the huge carto but that tasted like burnt ass. BTW 1:04 had my rollin.

Man, I love your reviews. Currently my favorite reviewer, hands-down. This video reflects my experiences with the eGo-T precisely. Maybe they'll improve the next gen, but I think I'll be putting away this system for now. Gonna try the 510 cartomizers... hopefully not so stiff on the draw. Meantime, back to dripping. Nice shirt!

I've gone through 4 of these tanks from TW (Tornado Tank). I currently have 9 more on order, because I got a very different experience that Grimm. It's by far the most satisfying system I've used. I find that when it runs it consistently provides a satisfying vapor and draw not unlike the 510. My main attraction to it is that it doesn't leak all over, but otherwise it's much like a 510. One had a little slow wicking, but the GENERAL problem, IMO, is quality. Attys in general vary too much.

I'm with you on that, tough draw, hardly any taste. I never found the burnt taste tough. I have however had a major issue with leaking where I lost tons of juice no matter what tank I use. Also the wick always darkens my juice in the tank no matter what I use and I tried cleaning it over and over in vodka. T-Tank is FAIL to me too! Good video!

Loved my 1st one from cloudsofvapor (see review on my page) Got 5 from a different company who is also a good and reputable company cause they had them in stock. They sucked... went thru 3 of 5 them before I realized they all just sucked. Then I got 3 LR eGoT attys from cignot... and I am in heaven again. I am on the 1st and it is the best thing in the whole world again. Skype me your address again... u gotta try a good one. Best invention since the e-cig.

I commented earlier that my ego-T had no taste whatsoever. I don't have any draw issues on mine. My draw is equal to a regular 510. I just go my low res ego-t atomizer in the mail and it makes a WORLD of difference all round. If you haven't completely wrote off the ego-t you should give it a whirl with the low res atomizer. It may change your mind, at least somewhat...

The Joye 510 Tank died after ten days. It came out of the box with a harsh chemical taste. It required constant coaxing and dripping to get it to work. It muted the flavors of any juice I put in it and added it's own unappealing flavor. It gave a stiff, torturous draw with a plastic taste. It started to work a little better by flooding it with juice. But overflooding killed it after a couple of days. Wretched product, great You Tube review.

I agree 100% ...Air is exactly what I taste. Nothing. The Concept behind the tank is clever but it doesn't hold up against the lr and even regular 510's. The draw is hard and if I close my eyes when I vape, I can't even tell if I am getting vapor. This video said it all....Glad I'm not alone.

Just about the only 2 things I like less about my unit:
- Cold vapor. Guess there's not a lot to do about this (even with LR attys) because of the long airflow path from the atty to the mouthpiece hole.
- It goes through juice like there's no tomorow. (which at least indicates it's wicking very well, as I haveno leakage)

Wow, I am surprised about this review as well, I have been vaping my starter kit and there has been no problems, 100% working order, one thing you mentioned about not getting as much flavor from your juice, I would agree the flavor coming from a regular atomizer is better but I still taste flavor from a EGO T

Wow! Sorry to hear that Nick. By your description it seems that your wick is not sitting on the coil. 10 days into mine and I love it mind you I had to give the atty an alcohol soak last night (100% VG juice) and all is fine this morning vaping like new. Outside of the primer they use, I am happy with it, then again I like a tighter draw.

I've just stuck with filler carts. The ceramic cartomizers don't wick, and the modded carts/attys are too expensive for disposable parts. My V4L Premium filler-cartos last upwards of 2 weeks and only cost 10 bux for a box of 5, or less if I get one of the (hundreds of) deals V4L is running at any given time
