Hmm.. my favourite themes are are the Airship Invincible and the mid-boss battle (why is the latter one not included here?), but I can't decide which one is better. #3 (still very close to the top 2) would be the Dark Cloud battle theme.

@nintencivo1500 Because Squeenix decided to have them meet up more naturally in the DS reincarnation. Also, canonically, all four of the AF(G)NCAAPs in the original were meant to be male.

This was an amazing game in the series, better than FFIV and damn close to FFV IMHO. I really wish they had released this in North America a decade before they did. The Eternal Wind theme is one of my favorite FF OST songs ever, and it's from the 8 bit NES!

One of the best Final Fantasy games in the series, and some of the best music as well. Not really sure what else to say about this game, but I played through it twice, which is really something since it took about 50 hours each time... Damn fine game.

The NES was pushed to its limits: the depth of the story, the music (such a colossal and beautiful composition), the colors, and the resulting ambience all scream "crack a beer and get lost with me."

FF3 has got to be one of my favs for the Final Fantasy series. I love playing the NES version! The soundtrack is so captivating!
