Yeah but classical ballet is so outdated, granted its beautiful and Yes it is the basis and foundation of all dance, but this 2008. If Dance is ever gonna survive it needs to jump into 2008. Stuff like what Mats EK is doing is so much more closer to reality that Classical Ballet.

THe Cullberg Ballet has done some of the most beautiful modern dance versions of classical ballets - they did a Giselle that it absolutely spectacular - Last Act is set in an insane asylum...I wish someone would post it on youtube

I love the way modern dance tells a story like no other style of dance. This female dancer is able to dance modern and classical perfectly and creates such a masterpiece that is not just a combination of movements to a piece of music but excites the audience to watch for the finale! always loved mats ek choreography for this...anyone interested in modern dance at its best look up mats ek's carmen.
