btw ring sports like muay thai have queer ass rules and restrictions while shotokan teaches techniques very practical for self defense as sensei yahara has proven as well as several law enforcement in several countries, since when have you heard of police or military training in muay thai? none thats cuz its a ''sport'' not martial art , karate is used for real life confrontations as for muay thai......its nothing more than entertainment :)
