Busch Gardens in Williamsburg is mostly a copy in the one in Tampa[: It was opened way before the one in Virginia and most of the roller coasters in Virginia are copies. yes, i'm an active coaster enthusiast that has visited BG in Tampa twice. Hulk, Manta, Kraken, Sheikra, Montu and Gwazi are the only coasters in Florida that stand out.

Scorpion was my first roller coaster in this style(I rode Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain before it, but those coasters are lame compared to the real ones) and it got me over my fear of these big ones. Thanks Scorpion, would have missed out on a ton of awesome coasters!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did that coaster go through a loop with riders just wearing a lap seat belt? I went to Busch Gardens in Tampa, but didn't go on this ride. The line was too long for what seemed like such a small coaster. I spent my time on Montu and Kumba.

u r strapped in. plus ur going the same speed as u would b doing a backflip. once some1 dropped a penny @ a loop, and the entire way down, the penny stayed right in front of his face. if u threw up on the ride at the top of the loop, ur vomit would probably land on sum1 in the same cart

bobbyvissexy12: Yes, it's old an small and boring compared to the Big 3(Montu, Sheikra and Kumba) but it also has a lot of history in it. Ask anyone who has been on one of the big three rides and I'll bet that at least 75% will tell you that they wouldn't have had the guts to go on one of the big coasters if they didn't ride Scorpion at least once or twice.

BG wanted to tear down Scorpion twice (when they built Montu, and when they built Sheikra) but people complained.
