I gotta say.. This has to be the best strategy game ever made, no kiddn! I rly like the complex of the economy. To get bread you need a farm to get wheat, then a mill to get flour and also bakery to make bread of the flour. And since every citizen and soldier need food, that means you need to produce a great amount of food. I dont think ive seen 1 strategy game after 2000 that are as complex as KAM. I hope they do a remake of this game! :)

This game was prety difficult :D ... Interesting thing about this game is, that It was translated into many languages. For example I am from Czech republic ( just 10 milion people) and this game had already czech menu and czech dubbing! SO everybody in my country used to play this game in years 99-2000, maybe even 2001 (all the other games were in english). I am wonderin wchich language version is in this video and how come they made this game maybe in all world languages those time :-D

I remember one of my friends building over 100 horsemen in a multiplayer game. The leader ran out of the level... so they became uncontrollable XD.

In another game one of my friends forgot to feed his troops in time... we all hear a massive "AAGH" from all his units dieing XD

You need to create new folder "save" in "Knights and Merchants TPR/data" folder.

@ArTeq1991 i checked online and that worked for a few people. i did just that but i still cannot save.

what the problem might be is that I have the KAM file folders are stuck in WinRAR ...what I mean is, everytime i start the game, i have to extract it first by opening WinRAR and clicking KM_TPR.EXE. I cant seem to get it from out of winRAR into my program files where im used to finding my games. Could this be the cause? And could u maybe tell me how to get the files out of RAR? Thanks

I used to play the demo for hours. I would hit green guys with 1 archer then run away keeping enemy just out of attack range. Then I would run into the blue base and the entire green army would follow me to the blue base and they would kill eachother.

@SrSlicky Of course not. There was the petition to release the KaM source code, but answer was "no". And the grafics in this game is to great, beautiful and awesome to change it. That is my opinion. The problem is, this game is too easy, AI is very stupid. Music and grafics are nice.

@ArTeq1991 An update is certainly neccessary , first of all it needs to be on steam and other such sources to be able to get it whenever you want *_* second - the AI is certainly retarded, make people smarter so they would actually choose a path and not go in to the wall for an hour ... bug fixes, new content, more missions, more multiplayer options etc. the small things that make games more pleasant - they will add even more epicness to this already perfect jewel ^_^

That still is one of the best strategy games ever. The Age of Empires games are crap compared to this, still! I tried them, but KaM is still the very best. I still occasionally play it and I enjoy it every time. I picked up The Peasants Rebellion at a very cheap price at some store, not knowing what the hell it was and hoping for something as good as everyone said Age of Empires was, but it turned out even better.
