Yeh! I for one am furious! They should not have recasted, either get back Malisa or don't bring the character back! And why Summer!? Theres so many better characters that could return!

And it's ANOTHER TEEN! I'm getting pissed off now with Susan Bower.

it's marisa not malisa. marisa siketa was offered the role again but she declined because she is at university now so the neighbours producers had to recast her.

susan bower has had years of experience with producing television shows. she's been doing it since before you were born so i'd say she has a little bit more experience than you do.

the casting decisions are actually not always up to susan bower. it's up to the casting director, jan russ.

Experience counts for nothing in that job, if the audience aren't happy then the crew are doing it wrong, it's as simple as that.

Didn't who die? Marisa Siketa? No she didn't. Marisa is alive & well luckily. I think you're mistaking her for Jessie Jacobs from the Saddle Club. Jess died 2 years ago.

Marisa Siketa played the same role that Jess did on the Saddle Club but after Marisa joined Neighbours Jess took Marisa's role on the Saddle Club.

@lordlozz1 How do I know all what? You don't need to be a genius to know that it was Jessica Jacobs who died. It was on the news when it happened and I'm a big Neighbours fan and I was a fan of Marisa Siketa so I know a lot about Neighbours.

@lordlozz1 I think you're a little confused. The reason why Marisa Siketa wasn't recast as Summer again is because she is at uni now studying and she's not interested in acting anymore. The actress that now plays Summer is Jordy Lucas.

Marisa Siketa is NOT DEAD! Jessica Jacobs is dead however. Jess was never on Neighbours. People were just getting mixed up with Marisa Siketa and Jessica Jacobs because they were both on the Saddle Club because Jessica Jacobs took over Marisa's role.

@lordlozz1 It's not stupid. Actors and actresses are regular people just like anyone else and sometimes people's interests change and we find out that there is something else out there that we would much rather spend our time doing.

As I said Marisa's at uni now so obviously that's making her happy and if that's what she likes than good luck to her I say.

Now to your DVD question. Unfortunately there are no Neighbours DVD box sets like you can get for other shows e.g. Seinfeld.

@ravia1988 Just think it would have been a massive opportunity, i mean if i was female i would be all up for playing the part! Acting on neighbours could be very furfilling dispite the programmes' simplicity and innocence

@lordlozz1 It is a massive opportunity but like I said people's interests do change and obviously Marisa Siketa felt that acting wasn't her interest anymore. I used to be in that whole acting phase too when I was younger. I even had an agent but when I was in year 10 I realised that it wasn't what I wanted to do anymore.

@lordlozz1 What do you mean by light beam? You mean like what I am I doing now other than acting? Well I'm studying to be a Journalist now. I'm in my third year of it so I have another year to go.

I always liked writing so Journalism is much more me. The best way to start acting is by doing some drama classes in school or even after school. See if you like it and see if you're good at it. If you're good enough then someone might suggest you to an agent and things will go from there.

@lordlozz1 but don't expect to be on shows like Neighbours and Home and Away straight off. It takes time for actors and actresses to develop their skills even the most famous actors today like Brad Pitt started off with crap jobs.

I did drama all through primary school and half of high school and when I was in year 5 my drama teacher thought I was good enough for an agent so she suggested one for me. I went for an interview with my mum and that's pretty much how I got one.

@lordlozz1 I've never been in anything serious though just little things like an extra in a Maccas Ad. When I was in year 7 I did audition for a small speaking part in Blue Water High but I didn't get it.

@lordlozz1 But there have been 2 DVDs released that have a few selected episodes. The first one was released in 2001 and it's called "Neighbours Defining Moments" and the second one was released in 2007 and that's comes with 2 volumes and it's called "Neighbours Iconic Episodes." I have both DVDs that were released.

It would take way to long to create a box set of Neighbours because it has been going on for 25 years and almost 6000 episodes.

@ravia1988 It was just that I thought I saw a comment somewhere where someone said that they had the first 2000 episodes on dvd. It would be cool to start again and watch the show from scratch because it would be so alien the storyline would still be involving, also you could get a clear overview on how all the characters and storylines are linked and how it evolved into the show it is today.

@lordlozz1 Perhaps the person downloaded it from Youtube or something. There are a few old episodes on Youtube actually so try having a look and see what you can find.

It is true it would take a long time to watch all the episodes from 1985 up till now. Even I haven't watched all of them and I'm probably one of the biggest Neighbours fans there is.

I started watching the show in 1996 when I was 8 years old but as I said I have the DVDs that were released with the selected episodes so I have
