  • Looks yummy!! Thanks for sharing this recipe. By the way, those are not shallots. They are green onions or scallions. Shallots are purple and shaped almost like a large garlic clove, but layered like an onion. They are related to garlic and would also be great in this recipe! :-)

  • when i cook any kind of fried rice i start with the garlic then add whatnot, he added it later i dont know if it hurts the end result or not

  • I was taught whatever you put in the oil first flavors the oil and hence the whole dish, so it's really up to the cook what to add first. The Taiwanese lady who taugt me to cook Chinese always started with the onion. I like to start with minced garlic and ginger, and maybe carrot. Looks like a really good recipe.

    We call them spring onion,and they also look like wild garlic, and the shallot is the small pickling onion

  • lol. Not bad for makiing it a diffenrent way of cooking for fried rice. Next time start with the egg because the egg is raw so you want it to cook it. The purpose for the egg in fried rice is to prevent an over burn on the rice and flavor. because if you use the egg at the end of the cooking you will get this sticking texture on the rice. tip.@_@

  • Nice little video bro. *only one thing (FYI) the green onions you referred to as "shallots"...this is not correct. Often green onion are called scallions. However "shallots" are a completely different thing. They are like a cross between a small onion and garlic. But still...good video!

    about the eggs: maybe he forgot to put it first so instead of not putting any egg at all, he chose to put it at the end.. a bit nervous maybe haha..

    btw, putting egg at the end is quite common for some asian cuisine. Especially if cooking with noodles and rice noodles.. but not so much with rice..

    but still, good job guys!
