  • I'm a smart nigga!

  • thank u now i remember it all over again :)

  • Hey there sir what is you got a problem that is

    X(2)-3x = Y ? what do i do with the 3x how do i make the x with the 3x go away ?

  • thank you

  • Thank you.

  • Great explination!

  • Thanxx alot it helped me a lote i spend at least 2 weeks trying to anderstand and my teacher explains in a way the hole class never anderstands... XD

  • What about something like y=-4????

  • @AmethystINK The graph be a horizontal line, from left to right, where y = -4. Since it doesn't matter what value you put in for x, y is always -4, so you could plot points at (-2,-4), (-1,-4), (0,-4), (1,-4), and (2,-4) and draw a line through it.

  • thank you

  • In every single one of my tests, transformations unit circle trigonomic identities logarithmic equations, I always do table of values. Gives me exactly what I want, plus it's more accurate

  • thanks, helped alot.

  • Thank you very much

  • wtf im still fuqkin confused

  • I watched the video because I used this link watch?v=Kscfqx3_YFs&fmt=18 (&fmt=18 in place over &nr=1)

  • AGH, why did youtube cut it down to 3 seconds ?!!?

  • -9 wanted to go to the dance with 0, but her best friend -5 betrayed her so she went with -2 instead, and made it look like she liked it, to make -5 feel bad..

If you can't see the vid, add "&fmt=18" at the end of the URL.

  • MAKE A VIDEO! I HAVE A LISTENING DISABILITY IN MATH CLASS AND I THOUGHT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO HELP ME WHY DONT U JUST MAKE A 3 SECOND VIDEO WITH THE WHOLE PAPER =O seriously.

  • wtf is THIS?

  • Sorry, but YouTube has cut the video down to 3 seconds. I will upload a new one shortly.

  • @minkusbc IF I HAD ONE WISH I WOULD WISH TO BE GOOD AT MATH !

  • 3 secs only??

  • too much to understand

  • its too mutch long way you didn;t make it shorter

  • Grammarz plz0x

  • Comment removed

  • why is it only 3 seconds long

  • uhhh! it waz 3 secondz long

  • OMG! ur so much better than my math tutor!!! thank you..i wish u were my math tutor

  • OMG! I wish you were my teacher!!!! you made this so much easier to understand, Thank you! GOD bless!!!

  • haha

  • oh my goodness! Thank you so much! This saved me!! I thought I was going to completely bomb the quiz i have tommorrow haha and I was wondering what grade level math is this?

  • algebra 1

  • hey i usually dont watch these but it helped alot

  • i prefer this method of graphing over the 2.

  • This is so much better than the way my teacher taught us! I like the way yours go in detail. Her way of doing it was so confusing to the point where it confused me. Thanks!

  • so basically for the x-value side of your table you can choose any number like for example I choose 2,3,5,6,8 and so on. Can you choose those kinds?

  • how do you do a problem like lets say,3y-3x=6

  • Move the 3x to the other side to make it: 3y = 3x + 6, then divide all terms by the number in front of the "y" (which is 3). This leaves us with y = 1x + 2, or just y = x + 2. Now set up your table of values as the video explains.

  • so for the x value u can choose any number like 1,2,3,4 ect or 2,4,6,8,10?

  • wait how do u do x=4y-6? im having trouble with that

  • thx! u've helped a lot! ur a gr8 teacher! can u come teach my class 2moro! j/k!lol!

  • thanks alot little lost on my algebra HW :)

  • i have heard that there is an equation that 2+2=5. ive tried to show it but it is very hard to prove

  • Can u gve example of table of values that is another solution?????

  • i thought that when you put the x numbers it has to be a sequence like -2,0,2

  • No, the "x" numbers can be any number. Some are more efficient than others. For instance, if my equation had a denominator of 3, my "x" values would be multiples of 3, like -6, -3, 0, 3, 6, 9 etc.

  • hey thanks for posting this

  • This is a very helpful tutorial on how to do this sort of problem but my question is how do you do this method with and absolute value in the problem? ex: -|x+3|=y

    Thank you very much.

  • I have quite a few videos on absolute value, but this one has a simple answer. The absolute value of (x+3) will be a poistive number. The negative in front of the absolute value sign will change it to it's opposite, so that will be a negative number. So the "y" values will only be negative numbers. The graph starts at x = -3 and forms a "V" shape into the negatives. The two sides of the "V" shape are at 45 degrees to the x-axis. Hope this helps. If "y" was a positive number, there is no answer.

  • I see now thank you so much for clearing this up for me I was really confused, but now I see how it works thank you again.

  • i am required to use 6 plots (x,y) in my class. when you substitute for 'x' do the numbers have to correspond in any way? for instance, you used -2, 0, & 4. i'm really confused about that and i don't know if i'm asking my question to clearly. please comment back.

  • You can use any value for x. However if there is a denominator then choose an appropriate value for x to make life easier. For instance, on y= 3/5 x +2 I would choose values of x that five goes into evenly such as -10,-5,0, 5,10,15 if you need 6 points.

  • thank you, this really helps.

  • cheers helped me alot

  • woohoo i finally knoow how 2 do this i have a test tomorroww thankxx alot !!! god bless u

  • go to a dance? o.o

  • Thank you for making, explaining and posting this information, you made it easier to understand. Take care! Thanks!

  • I just graphed my first linear equation in 25 years! These videos are a great refresher so I can help my kids with their math.

  • thank you.God bless you!!!
