It is fun to play and there are many allusions to films. Some of the enemies are like crazy and that is what we like.

It is not an usual game.

Don't blame you for not liking this game after seeing this video. It never really shines in single player gameplay.

The best part is the four player coop. You can have some pretty amazing times playing this with friends. No, the storyline and gameplay alone will never compare to Fallout 3. But the coop makes this game so worth it.

This game is SIMILAR to WoW in the way of skill trees, but unlike WoW there is a "Very low chance of being able to fill out all trees." (Creator quote)

to get a good sniper just go to fyrestone and follow the road on ur buggy thing until u get the a fort made on the side of a mountain or w/e and look around in there and u can find a maliwan sniper, it lights them on fire, u only need to be like lvl 12 to get here but u need lvl 25 to equip it

Back on the topic of this vs Fallout 3, let me clarify:

Borderlands = People with friends

Fallout 3 = People who like epic stories

Granted, i've never played Fallout 3, but according to my friend, who not only has Fallout 3 but has ALL of the DLC for it, said that playing this co-op was a better experience than Fallout 3, with the solo experience slightly less so.

Seeing as how I love co-op titles and don't really like to play alone, I'll have to take his word on it.

alright, i know the setting and RPG+FPS makes oblivion/fallout 3 an obvious influence - and it is. But the gameplay does not feel like those games at all. The leveling system, the looting system, the quest system and the FPS element itself. These things are present in both fallout and borderlands. However, the execution in each category is very different, resulting in an unique, (albeit unoriginal) experience. So far, i love both of them. And to me, they are very, very, very different games.
