From Wiki: Jonathan Larson wrote LOVE HEALS while working on RENT, to help in the efforts of Love Heals — the Alison Gertz Foundation for AIDS education. Alison was one of the first heterosexual women to contract AIDS from a "one night stand." He wanted to help her and the organization in the best way he could: with music. Although not written for RENT, we have included this bonus track as a tribute to Jonathan and to help further the cause of AIDS education.
Jonathan, thank you. For the beauty of your words. For the intricate melodies and harmonies you provided to the amazing performers singing your most stunning work. For sharing a rare talent with the world, which you could have kept to yourself. Know that your message has been spread; fight AIDS and the timeless quote - 'measure your life in love.'
Thanks. I just let the passion for his music flow from my fingers to the keyboard. It's not hard to write how beautiful something is when that something is so incredible and amazing in the first place, you know?
What is it? Like, was it once supposed to be in Rent or summin? Or is it just a random song I've never heard of? Please Explain my love. . . .
Also, while we're here, will you put that picture of mesitting on the floor in london making a bit of a silly face on Facebook please? I want it as my Profile Pic.
It was a song that Jonathan Larson wrote right before her passed away. It was never meant to be in RENT. I believe someone told him he couldn't write a gospel song, and he ended up with this, I think to raise AIDS awareness or something. It's a bonus track on the movie soundtrack. It's also sung at the RENT 5 concert, but I prefer this version because everyone gets a chance to sing. :)
this song was for a girl who had a one night stand and got AIDS. Jonathan Larson wrote it for her and her family and all that they had lost after she died. and so in a way yes it was to raise AIDS awarness. and it was also written to prove that u can have one night and ur whole life can be changed. its a really very sad story but still a beautiful song...
It wasn't supposed to be in RENT, Jonathan Larson (who wrote the music and the book for RENT) wrote it while working on RENT to help the charity LOVE HEALS - the Allison Gertz Foundation for AIDS education. Allison was one of the first heterosexual ('straight')women to contract AIDS from a "one night stand". Jonathan didn't write it for RENT, but it's included on the soundtrack to tribute both of them and to help further AIDS education.

I don't know if it is supposed to be in Rent. I think it is just a song that they recorded for the album but I might be wrong. I'm not really sure.
I will put the picture on facebook for you.

Actually, "Seasons Of Love" was what he wrote when someone said he could never write a gospel song.
