This song has a huge emotional impact because throughout the game, you visit the Velvet Room at least a hundred times and hear the Poem for Everyone's Souls a hundred times. Now, in the final battle, just hearing that familiar tune amped up 100x is epic.

Personally I love game OSTs, I've heard thousands of tracks and this is by far my favourite as in #1 but you don't see me going around on other top 100 lists saying: "WTF [nsert music] is NUMERO UNO!!! JBKJAHVDBSHJDKV"

Persona's soundtrack was beast, I gotta admit. P3FES by Lotus Juice was insane. I thought it was one of the better rap-esque songs I've heard, and also, the song for the Entrance Hall in Persona 4's TV world was cool.

The reason why I agree this should be #1 is because of the context of when its played. The anticipation of this boss battle builds and builds, and then finally when you actually fight the boss this kickass soundtrack starts playing. That's what makes this song so awesome.

If this were a top 100 moments in gaming I'd be more inclined to agree with you, but this is a top 100 song list, so its the song that should get the focus, not the events surrounding it. If you have to play the game to fully appreciate the song as being worth a #1 spot, then what merit does the song have on its own?

I humbly recommend you consider some Kingdom Hearts music in your *updated* top 100 rpg playlist, should you ever make one. The KH 2 song Sanctuary easily rivals a few of your Top 10 music.
