In the series, george tried to tell her mom who she was, but when she tried to tell her a memory from her childhood, she couldn't remember what it was, as if fate had erased it from her thoughts. But suddenly now she can tell her sister, whats with that?

the scenes with george and reggie talking together should literally be their own movie or episode as they're the only parts worth watching in this movie and its where you can feel the heart of the series trying to shine through.

@MinniHowl No, actually, we wouldn't. Because not only was this Daisy a terrible actress, but the WHOLE character was completely different. They took all of her vulnerability and intelligence and basically everything that made her a dynamic character and left us with a vapid shell. It's just disrespectful to the character and her arc on the show.

They screwed up Daisy, when she forgot the line she would have recovered better or ran off the stage. The overall feel of the series worked in the movie. Georgia making her observations, the interactions between the various characters, and Mason screwing up. Reggie being odd, but likable. They had the wonderful quirk funny aspects of Delores Herbig. The movie was all about shaking up the status quo, but should've tread a finer line on breaking up the character interaction magic.

this is so stupid. A grim reaper cannot reveal themselves to the living, if they try they lose their memory during the process in which they try to explain anything of the sort. That was established in the series... If they wanted to have Reggie figuree out that Millie was her sister they could have done it more cleverly in so many ways while still adhereing to the already perfect logic of the show.

I don't think it was actually established that they lose their memory. I think the scene with George trying to tell her mother and failing had less to do with a cosmic 'law' and more to do with her just freezing from fear.

true, the show didn't ever spell it out for us. But there is a point were prior to the occurence with her mother she asks rube about the subject, and he simply said you can't... or something along the lines of that. The way he said it however, made it seem as if he meant it just wasn't possible. So then when then when the scene with george and her mother happened I just put two and two together.

I think Rube's comments of "you can't" and whatnot were more along the lines of "you're not supposed to" which is what this movie was also talking about. Rube had rules and Cameron didn't, and as George commented (like when Roxy saved her reap, and then he died and go into the accident) just because there aren't immediate consequences from the higher ups, fate eventually intervenes. That was just my way of taking it. Because there were a few episodes where the reapers made themselves known

ok ok, you got me. I guess that was just my take on it. Regardless, in my opinion, this movie just doesn't quite fit in with the history and flow of the show. I don't think it is as intelligent as the series and the new actors replaceing the orignals just doesn't sit well with me. The movie was supposed to help bring the show back but judging from everyone's take on this movie, it's pretty much dead and burried.

I liked it, but it didn't feel the same. I could handle Rube's absence and I loved George's growth. I was so happy so see her taking responsibility for her job and the souls instead of whining about it, especially the scene with Reggie in the hospital. The only thing I could NOT deal with was Daisy. Aside from the fact that the actress was terrible and no where near as cute as Laura, they completely flushed all her character development. She finally started to grow and what about her religion?

Me too but I've been waiting for this moment for so long!!! I Was freaking out when she told heR!!! In the Series, I expected her to come out on the Finale of the Halloween Episode and i thought about the forgetting when talking to her mother and came to the same conclusion, that she had just frozen up and had a brain fart. Especially when things started to unfold about Rube and his personal life and things like that.
