  • "freed up the economy".................to casualise the workers & destroy farmers!

  • Argh! That Liberal guy going on about Australia having a competitive agricultural industry, what a load of crap! Every farmer in my district, whether it be dairying or beef, are all in debt, and lots of it. We need tariffs on agriculture at least, you city folk will only realise what you've done to rural Australia when there's no more farmers left and all our food is imported. Then instead of crying about not having cheap food, you'll be crying about contamination from foreign importers...

  • @MrBumnut1234 You can't have it both ways, SUPPORT LOCAL FARMERS!

  • 07:41 people in the city want cheap food, but then at the same time they are the first to scream when we had fish imported here from vietnam that were raised in sewerage ponds... then there other instances of imported food being contaminated with pesticides well above our own acceptable limits.

you can't have it both ways... just support the locals. Go Bob...

  • The problem with Mr Katter is that he thinks Mt Isa is the centre of the universe. Rural Australians must definitely be considered, but the reality is that over 80% of Australians live in major cities.

  • @peteylalor yes and who do you think provides all that stuff you eat? Rural Australians provide "your daily bread" so to speak. And as much as I don't like Katter's "social agenda" his economic policy platform (except his low tax and no mining tax) I am supportive of. Protect local industry and jobs and export goods to countries that need our products, re-grow a manufacturing industry and build real industries again. Looks a lot like Germany, France and Norway to me.

  • God bless this man, regional Australia needs help!

  • Notice that Nick refused to answer Bob on the actual figures in Europe and the US etc relating to protectionism. If our "real" economy is doing so well, where are our industries. Australia the warehouse who sells cheap minerals to the world. Our major parties don't have a clue. Tell me any "socialist" who supports free markets. We have 30 years of statistical data proving the failure of a corrupt system. it is time to redress the balance

  • @franks2732 mate i hate to break it to you but its called the NWO and a turn towards world government... This is the new world government. global financial systems, one world government. total control, the big mega banks are pushing it all - including the carbon tax...

  • @SerotoninRush I have heard this NWO crap from both the looney extreme left and right, just change the evil illuminati from the "Evil UN" to the "Evil corporate cartel". If you are a "nut job" right wing freak its the UN, If you are a "nut job" left wing freak it's the cartel. What a idiot

  • @franks2732 uhh no thats not me at all. I just listen to what the elite say and how they want a global government

  • @SerotoninRush buddy you just said you believed in the NWO, personally I think that's bat shit crazy. I firmly believe the evidence supports my position.

  • 5:09

  • The USA subsidises it's agricultural & manufacturing industries .... so is that no protectionist? Global Free Market trade is just a falacy ...... OECD countries in Europe sudsidise their farmers 49% ... ours get 6%. Katter has it right. If we can't feed & manufacture for ourselves then we are held ransom by foreigners.

  • <3 Katter!!!!

  • The tariff subsidies on food is a World Government plan and involve Monsanto primarily being one of the greatest beneficiaries.

  • Imagine this guy in the USA. All his protectionist policies.

  • I would happily pay more for food if it was genuinely australian produced.

I am all for supporting australian farmers and the manufacturing sector.

The media wants to run the agenda and tell people what to think, including creating the dis-connect between the city and the bush and that's a disgrace.

We are losing our identity as Australians by allowing the 2 party system and media to dictate to us.

"if you stand for nothing you will fall for anything"

    Who said that ????
