Should have gotten a higher grade....wouldnt get an a though...need to narrow down your knowledge issue but dotn narrow down too much if you know what i mean...open ended up more closed...idk haha 4 for the KI though. good presentation!! should be getting a B!!!
Are we allowed to create a video like this for our presentation? I have real horrible stage fright, and we are forced to present in front of over 100 people. If I made a video (10+ min) and showed it, would I still be marked? Or do we have to present it live? Please answer quick, my presentation is in 10 days
@TotalRandomRequest depends on the school...mine you have to present live but we are broken into 4-5 groups of 20 people....ask your ib coordinator or your tok teacher....depends on the school....mine you cant make a video which doesnt make sense because our presentations are recoreded anyway...just asked your teacher.
I'm currently working on mine and this helped a lot. Thank you!
Although I can see why you lost the marks. No [mentions of implications or limitations], [multiple perspectives], [recurring real life situation or issue (does not include examples)]. However, must be tough to do it in 10 minutes.
The conclusion was a bit weak. Your only evidence for common sense being uncommon was a breach of "expectations." Assuming a realistic scenario in which the violators of the expectations have been alerted of the "inappropriateness" of their actions and therefore have the "common sense" that they are expected not to, the possession of this common sense may not necessarily influence their actions. Realistically, there would not be any large disincentive to do so, certainly not one which would out-
@CitizenSieyes -weigh the immediate perceived benefit of talking. A much better example would be of someone who, after idiomatically dying from chillies, returns to the restaurant to eat another plate. However, this type of thing simply does not happen often enough to support your claim. I'm sure that an examination of seeming violations to common sense would show that instances which have a sufficiently positive number of hedons (if you'll pardon my use of Mill) are prevalent.
i actually thought it started off as a joke (sorry :/) but it ended up being really good... im surprised and youve given me a lot to think about for my presentatoin (march 1st :O)
this is a great presentation in itself but it is too tongue in cheek to merit an A, from a TOK standard. If i were to do something like this i would be effed and rolled over simply cuz its subtly [or not so subtly] meant to incite laughs, but then again, why is there an inherent assumption of a distinction between the funny and the tok? there's a knowledge issue for ya lol
Wow, I really enjoyed this presentation, even though I see my presentation going down the toilet with the non-drinkable water now... Did you get feedback for this? What made it 16 out of 20 not 20 out of 20? :)
A fucking 80%, are you shitting me? I learned more in this video than I have in all of my classes from the 1st 3 weeks of school (and I'm all A's in my honor classes right now)... faved. I'll make sure to share this.
Thank you soo much for posting this video, cuz now I actually get what TOK is about, and that it's not actually as difficult as my teacher makes it seem
great presentation, but I think that u should really have gotten more points :S
your use of examples were good, but they are weak ways to support your argument. Also, you never addressed why different perspectives where not as good as your own, you left it at identifying the other ones. It started out really good but you didnt really get anywhere you you repeated yourself a bit.
Regardless, thank you for showing me a sample TOK presentation!
hahaha...groundhog day. the presentation was very good, i think. i only got 10/20, probably because of my lack of common sense in the TOK presentation criterion..
@EdibilityHSP oh damn, 16? this is pretty damn good tbh, i saw this video last year while preparing for my first presentation and i was like wooooooow.
on my last presentation i got 17/20, not so intimidating, the only thing is that you need a good issue of knowledge and develop it. good video nevertheless
This guy has the most annoying voice/accent ever! And its not even that good a presentation....

not really retard, KI is not defined, and a lot of hypothetical cases
Other than those, a truly nice presentation
